Qudus Wahab, the 6-foot-10 center from Flint Hill (VA) School, trips to UConn this weekend (Oct. 12) for his first official visit. Wahab, who cut his list to five last month, will also take official visits to Virginia Tech (Oct. 19-21) and Pittsburgh (Nov. 2-4). He is also considering Georgetown and Syracuse.

Been getting vibes that Wahab is leaning towards Pitt, UCONN or Georgetown. Perhaps this is because we're still in on Stewart and Akok...

Maybe this ends up being our guy to go along with QG. The staff really likes him and seems like most of us cuse fans have kind of thought of him as a 2nd/3rd option.

I think JB really, really wants this kid if not they wouldn't be pursing him this hard. It does make sense as JBK probably won't play much in the first few years and Sid will be our only returning Center as more than likely PC doesn't come back after this year based on his age.

He'd be a really nice guy to go along with JBA. They both bring a bit of a different skill set to the table. IMO Wahab is a bit further along, and would provide some much needed insurance. How is his first name pronounced? Anybody know?

Contenders: Final five of Connecticut, Georgetown, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.
Early or late: Early.
Breakdown: A promising big man who can run the floor, block shots and rebound, Wahab should be nearing the end of the recruitment process. He's got a visit coming up to Pitt the first weekend of November and the Panthers seem to have made some headway with him as most of the other talk has surrounded Virginia Tech and UConn.

For some reason Instagram's aren't showing up on the board. I've got Jekelish checking on it. Hopefully will be resolved soon.
