No. It sounds like he's not totally sure what school he really wants to go to and SU isn't one of them. Also SU is out too, have you seen any mention of any assistants visiting him in the last week or seeing that JB is going to see the kid personally .Β I know... my post is more a reflection of wishful thinking because of how badly we've botched the center recruiting the last few years. We need someone else besides JBA and better than Carrigan.

I'm not going discount JBA till we saw how he plays his senior year this year and freshman year at SU. Would love to see a bulked up center. It's amazing how PC can't get any thick muscle on him and he's been here for 3 or 4 years now.

I'm not discounting JBA. But to expect him to be the starting center next year and play meaningful minutes is unfair to JBA himself, the team and the fans. Even Rak Christmas (a 5 star recruit) didn't provide much in his first year. Heck one could argue that Rak didn't really perform as expected until his senior season. So why should I expect JBA to be ready as the #400 (or so) recruit with no back up? I don't know what's going on with Sidibe, but he's been terrible. I warned everyone that expecting him to be fully healthy was unwise. I also said that Sidibe shouldn't scare any good center away from SU. That did not and will not happen. We're striking out on elite bigs for reasons way above and beyond Sidibe.
That said, please don't think I don't want JBA to do well. I just think it's unrealistic and largely unfair. I'm glad I'm not on the "other board " right now because I think I'd go absolutely nuts watching all the homies defend the center recruiting tactics, or lack there of.

Qudus Wahab, one of the top available frontcourt prospects and a member of the Rivals150, reversed course Tuesday and told Rivals.com he would not be making his college commitment as he had planned on Thursday. Last week, we also broke the news that Wahab was ready to end his recruitment, where he went as far as previewing his decision earlier this week with us. So, what gives?
Well, sources told Rivals.com that this is more about Wahab not entirely being sold on his final decision. Others not found within his final list have tried to work their way into the mix, but no, he is not willing to listen to their overtures. He just wants to make sure that he finds the best home to jumpstart his college career.
Sources also told Rivals.com that while he will no longer make his college commitment this week, a decision should be made before the turn of the calendar year. Wahab doesnβt know where he wants to go, but the caveat here is that all five have a legitimate chance at his verbal commitment. This has been one of the more curious recruitments that I have covered in recent years and I would not be surprised with whichever program he ultimately chooses.
In the end, Georgetown, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, UConn or Virginia Tech will be adding a hard-playing, mobile and productive interior presence that should impact a college program next year. He has some time to go in rounding out his skill set, but the wait may be worth it for one of those involved, a process that should be complete before Jan. 1.

Your last message is empty... what's up with Qudus Wahab? I can't find it but I believe someone had tweeted that a school or two were at his game or visiting. The tweet may have gotten deleted. Anyway we are pretty much out.

One decision that does seem to be imminent is that of Qudus Wahab. Go ahead, roll your eyes. I know that you have heard this one before. The Rivals150 center was expected to commit weeks before the New Year, but instead put it on the back burner. However, Wahab did tell Rivals.com last week that he will make his commitment on Jan. 30. Selecting a favorite for him is tricky, but the latest whispers surround the Hoyas.
Defeating Pitt, Syracuse, UConn and Virginia Tech will be no easy task, and it would not be a shock to see Wahab at any of the programs on his final list.
But could the lure of playing close to home and for a Hall of Fame big man in Patrick Ewing be enough to get the Hoyas over the hump? Only time will tell, but it does look as if Wahab is Georgetownβs best shot to make a major mark this winter. Meanwhile, the Hoyas continue to kick the tires on Shannon, Damion Baugh and Gerald Drumgoole.

Read online today that Marquette and Buzz Williams think they have a chance to get involved late. If Wahab is still that uncertain, why are we not still going all out on him?

Who knows with JB, maybe his handlers or coach told him he wasn't interested in SU anymore but was going to be courteous about how he's going about it by not removing them off his final list.
Seen where GTown may have a great shot here but believe they've got a few big men signed for next year. Think it's a 3 team race between GTown, Pitt, and VTech.
