Syracuse is in the final five for Sam Johnson, who was - if I'm not mistaken - the first QB we offered during the 2019 cycle. He's making his pick May 7, but I am not expecting it to be Syracuse. He seems to be high on BC and if Michigan actually wants him, I have a hard time believing a Michigan kid would pass up on playing for the Wolverines. Plus - even if he does want to pick Syracuse, I'm not sure we'd take him right now. I know with certainty that we have more than one QB rated more highly than him, though he's obviously a terrific talent.

So do we think it's likely we also take a while in 2019 to keep the train rolling every year?

And Johnson has committed to BC. That seemed to be the way things were going. Makes me think that the Michigan offer wasn't committable right now. I'll be curious, if Michigan misses out on some people, if they come back and try to flip Johnson.
