I don’t like this team. The way they quit and fold and get blown out every time they get down by 10-15 is disgusting. Zero heart. Zero composure. Mintz is a joke as a team leader/NBA guy. He completely quits on defense as soon as he thinks we can’t win. Benny is a joke, period. Never seen a player act like he does on a regular basis. He’s a big bitch. Go away. Bell is joke. Doesn’t even try, ever. All he cares about his his shots and his points. If he’s not getting them, he sulks. Go away. Brown and Copeland keep me from flat out despising this team, but those 3 goofballs above gotta go. I think I could like the team more if we were that group that just pushed pace non-stop. Maybe if we still had McLeod we would go that way, I don't know. Watching them in the half-court hurts. The D by a lot of these dudes is just bad.

I gotta add - while lots of focus has been on how you can really upgrade a roster quickly through the portal, you really need some veteran guys that have been in the program that are good players, too.
I’ll come back to UNC again - Ryan was a nice 25 year old addition and Bacot is about to be 24 and is in an extra year. But look at RJ Davis - maybe the best player in the league as a 4th year natural senior, and he’s made a huge jump this year.
RJ Davis averaged 8 ppg on 35% shooting as a freshman. As a soph he averaged 13 ppg on 42% shooting. He was basically JJ Starling.
We need JJ Starling to be here for 4 years and continue improving and to be one of the top guards in the ACC as a senior like RJ Davis.
We need Brown and Copeland to keep getting better and to be here for 4. Supplement with some portals and bring in recruits that can play (hopefully Freeman and Moore). Thats how you win. Gotta balance the roster in many ways.

So richmondcuse03 is saying we may be close to landing top 30 PG Tyler Jackson in the class of 2025. Does he have a history of getting reliable inside info? Anyone know?

After losing to Boston College and getting blown out by Wake Forest (I cannot believe that sentence is real), I am starving for good news, so I want to believe there’s something to it.

Nothing recent on Rigals, 247 or Mike M’s site. So if he has anything it would be direct info from someone. I saw he liked us so it’s possible

Problem is that doesn’t help us for next year even if we land him

Problem is that doesn’t help us for next year even if we land him I think we can likely survive a year if we see some progress from the guys on the roster and improve the rest of the positions. I feel like we rarely see people making a notable jump year-to-year any more. Copeland and Brown took a solid step I suppose. I can't really knock their progress as players. Bell, Taylor, Mintz...........seem much the same. Bell maybe more consistent on the three, but otherwise, nada. Benny has really never much progressed, he's always been a guy that maybe has a game or two where he looks like he may be on to something, but it's always VERY short lived. If Cuffe, Copeland, Starling get better - and return next year - I think we can survive. Again, assuming our forwards/center positions see some significant upgrades.

Starling’s improvement over the course of this season gives me some optimism though. He might be better without Judah too.

Was there an incident with Copeland against Wake? He took an iso Iverson like 3 that airballed, immediately got pulled and scolded by Red and told to sit his ass at the end of the bench. He sulked a little.
