for Clemson
14/39 FG (35.9%) 9/28 3-point (32.1%) 6/9 FT (66.6%)
People are slobbering over his E8 run for Clemson, and his S16 at Syracuse....well, didn't Guerrier also reach both an E8 and S16? Why are no roses being thrown his way?

When he’s one of your main guys, you’ll end up around .500 though.

Ultimately all that really matters is that Joe had fun!

I really f’ing hate when anyone says some people say x. Like some people don’t like Joe Girard. Effing name them or don’t say that. Joe Girard wasn’t hated at Syracuse. His role for him was hated. Good kid but he played PG for 3 years so Prince Buddy could be the SG. Stop friggin gaslighting Cherie. People were sick of how Jim Boeheim used him not the player. Your god Jim Boeheim made it difficult for Girard because he had a position and role that wasn’t too his strength but it had to be done for him to be used because of Buddy. If Joe played at program that used him like Clemson did this year he would have had a better career.

Anyone over there trying to change the narrative on what the Girard(Boeheim) issues actually were - I have lost all respect for them. Some of them I never had any for in the first place, but some have surprised me on just how dishonest they are.

This comment from Joe, I just can't. The real reason he transferred is the SU postgame meal was changed from large pizzas to fruit smoothies.

Someone left cookies?
No chance. That was definitely part of the NIL deal.
I get a full plate of cookies each morning, or I'm going to Ole Miss.

I was hoping they would keep getting him shots though, because the kid can catch fire. That being said....no need to slobber over JG. Had a nice college career, got put in a bad spot at SU, but finished up fine.

I disagree, I’m guessing a local Syracuse bakery wasn’t anticipating the stockpile of unsold tickets after he left town. Probably loaded up a couple Sprinters and jetted down there.

Had a nice college career, got put in a bad spot at SU, but finished up fine. But that’s what he was or needed to be. Literally I think I could find 100 posts over the years from Mike or DW or me or many others….that was like…he’s a shooter that can get hot and he can’t guard. That’s what it is. It’s what he always has been. Nothing has changed. Clemson surrounded him with good big guys that allowed him to stand on the outside to open up the paint. He could get beat on D because he has some size inside that would cover for him. At Syracuse, we played him at PG where he couldn’t handle on ball pressure (and still couldnt). We played him in a zone where he was easily shot over (which he was yesterday) Mike was dead on in that post. The moving goalposts are a way to say “you were wrong, Jb was right”
