Apparently after listening to Dean Francis podcast, we are pursuing this kid again. It must be apparent that he has his off field issues in order as he's problems with prep schools and other things in the past. Last thing we need is a problem child at SU. Dean also seemed very high on him if he has gotten his act together.

I want this guy if we don't get Stewart:

For some reason Instagram's aren't showing up on the board. I've got Jekelish checking on it. Hopefully will be resolved soon.

They were just two newer videos of him playing that I hadn't seen before, that I thought others might want to see.

I would say 2 based on this as it say's he's a sophomore this year at Odessa JC in Texas - www.wranglersports.com/sports/mbkb/2018-19/rosterJust a side note but getting the feeling we aren't getting Wahab and Carrigan will be next in the pecking order.

I have mixed feelings about Carrigan. I actually like his game better than Wahab. But Wahab has four years of eligibility and Dimon has two. Dimon may also be a constant concern in the classroom. At the same time, I like him though because he's a bit rebellious and a free thinking kid. He may need a mentor to be glued to him to keep him focused and out of trouble. I'm sure Dimon knows his chance to play D1 ball are riding on his grades. I hope he can finish strong and qualify because he really is quite a talented defensive player. He would compliment JBA well because they're very different players. JBA is more a finesse and shooting big, whereas Dimon is a banger and shot blocker extraordinaire. Really the perfect blend if you ask me. When will we know if he's able to transfer? Does he have to graduate with an associate degree? Does that mean we won't know until May? If so, is that too big a gamble to wait that long?

I think a lot of it is going to depend on what Wahab does first, then it would be to see how his grades are. He maybe worth the wait as I don't believe there are many options left.

We've done such a good job with this recruiting class, but it seems we are struggle recently landing elite big men. With Chewy graduating, and Sidibe still a bit of a question mark, we may need JBA to contribute way before he's ready unless Dimon or Wahab pan out.
That said, I realize that the center position is changing/evolving. The game is becoming smaller. You can have a Draymond Green type player successfully man the center spot. Do you all think JB wants to play small ball (6-4 - 6-8 interchangeable guys)? Historically our zone when it's been most effective includes a big time shot blocker.
So where am I going with this...
Is JB changing his recruiting strategy of big men (are we avoiding the big time centers) or are we struggling to recruit them? JBA is nice and all but still raw, and considered by most a project.
I think we need another big. Maybe we don't? Just thinking aloud I guess.... I'd take Carrigan in a heartbeat if he qualifies. It's hard to understand the lack of interest from the elite centers with the available playing time upcoming.

That would be game changing

That would be game changing I think I remember reading that Chewy doesn't plan to play after this season. But if he did, then you're right, that's a game changer. Marek, IMO, hasn't bulked up enough to play center. He tries so hard, and is smart enough, but I just don't see it (certainly not against physical teams) unless he gets a LOT stronger?
