Really starting to get good vibes here.....seems like maybe stew is thinking of playing closer to home for his pops? I mean cmon stay here and be a legend and get coached by a hofer in the best league with the beat fans and your family can watch it all. He'll have plenty of time to travel to every city in America as well as outside the US when hes playing on the NBA....let's do this Isaiah!!

Do we actually have a shot here lol A resounding yes... perhaps the new leader for his services. I can't believe I'm writing that, but I actually think it's VERY possible.

Someone asked Corey Evans if Girard commitment would impact Stewart and this was his response -
No, it has no effect on where Isaiah Stewart ends up. The five-star prospect from Rochester, N.Y., made a surprise official visit to Syracuse this weekend, and by the time he returned home his former travel teammate and friend, Joe Girard, was commiting to the same ACC program.
Sure, Stewart wouldnβt mind rekindling the chemistry that he shared with Girard from their time together with the Albany City Rocks program, but Stewartβs decision is more about where he feels he can develop best in college and in preparing for the NBA. While the Orange are a finalist for Stewart, Michigan State, Duke, Kentucky and Washington might have a much better shot with the elite paint producer.

Syracuse puts guys in first round nearly as consistently as anyone else on that list.

Isaiah will make the NBA no matter where he plays. So I think having the ability to play with 3 friends, close to home where his father can watch games, in the ACC with a HOF coach trumps what the other schools can offer.
He is good enough that he doesn't need the Kentucky or Duke name to carry him. I think that article is very shortsighted of the assets that Syracuse can offer. None of those other schools can stack up in all of the intangibles. If I was Stewart, I'd pick SU, and I mean that with no bias whatsoever. We can offer him everything that those other schools can and more.

The funny thing is people like to mention stuff like βMSU develops big men blah blah blahβ did they watch what Izzo did with Jackson last year? Nothing.

Not to mention that JB schooled Izzo in coaching in the tournament game. Frank Howard had fouled out and Bayer was in. All he had to do was not let Oshae or Battle score and they win. He didn't even try to press us, and we were gassed. SU>MSU and JB>TO and that's no contest.
