This kid is going to be really good. I admit I was somewhat skeptical before I saw him in person. Handles well, smooth athlete, gets into the lane and elevates. Knocks down his free throws and has the ability to become a difference making defender.

Love the MCW comment, love even more if this kid could shoot it better on the regular than MCW given he isn't as long defensively.

I'm not sure what mcw stats were as a high school player but goodine was lights out this year. His junior year stats were
"The 6-foot-4, 170-pound junior shooting guard averaged 21.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.4 steals this past season, leading the Saints (25-7) to the New England Prep School Athletic Council Class AA Tournament title game. Goodine connected on 52.3 percent of his 3-pointers (134-of-256) and 89.8 percent of his free throws (141-of-157) and concluded his junior year with 1,904 points in his prep basketball career."
It seems like he will be a better shooter/scorer then mcw. I loved mcw but he definitely struggled with his shot.

Sounds like he is good enough to be a 2018 class stud. Gotta think he climbs big-time and is a possible burger boy.

Alright, so here's an unpopular take I have considering the rating of the guys we recruit: At this point, shouldn't we have more faith in the staff's eye for finding guys who fit well in the system over the perspective of scouts who may be influenced by other interests? I'm sure Goodine is much better than he is being ranked, and I'm sure his ranking means a lot to him personally, but outside of how Brycen feels, should we care about how he's ranked nationally?

Brycen Goodine improved his statistics in each game in Atlanta, finishing the session with a 31-point, 4-rebound performance in a one-point defeat to MOKAN Elite. BABC has gotten everything they expected and more from Goodine, who has proven to be one of the top scoring guards in the junior class. Goodine's numbers indicate exactly what he is; a two-way player who can make plays with the EYBL's best. BABC will need a perfect fourth session to contend for a Peach Jam bid, which means a lot more production from Goodine in Hampton, Virginia next weekend.
