But, I doubt the NBA or any other schools have been interested in Boeheim for awhile. His loyalty is to a point of a detriment at this stage, frankly.

I couldnt disagree more. I can totally understand some of the gripes. But throughout his tenure JB has been pretty damn good for us. Of course from the 80s to early 2000s probably before it was known he was never going anywhere he had opportunities (at least within the college ranks).
The grass isnt always greener. Had he left before establishing us a prominent program, you are just ignorant to think his replacement would of had the same levels of success he had. (and it probably would of been multiple attempts at a replacement). Michigan was a dumpster fire pre Bielen. It is not always pretty or easy, but I think we should be thankful for what we have. Not just in the success, but in the loyalty.

I agree, it's been ever since when Tyler Ennis left that this program has struggled. As a lot of have said we appreciate what JB has done for this school and the great success but he should have been replaced a few years ago by Hop.

Not just in the success, but in the loyalty. It’s not ignorance. It is ignorant to think that nobody in the world can’t potentially do a great job at SU. We limit ourselves by playing 100% All-Zone, bringing in beanpole frontlines (admittedly so by JB), as well as tall SG conversions to PG. It would be naive to not think that there is TONS of negative recruiting regarding these issues. Not to mention his behavior and berating of certain players publicly. Not to mention the glowing concerns about consistent lack of fundamentals, style of play, etc. Not discarding how he built the program and such. A guy like Chris Mack who had a lot of success at XU came in right away to Louisville with a budget and facilities on par with ours and had tons of success. He is KILLING it in recruiting as well. Sometimes it just is time. It happened to Bobby Bowden and Gary Williams. Boeheim is on par with those guys and not Red Auerbach as many choose to believe. This is going to be another double-digit season loss season and possibly the worst of JB’s career, IMO. Especially since OB is as good as gone. Boeheim isn’t reloading the way Beilein has and keeping them super competitive. Something needs to be done.

I agree with tons of what you are saying in terms of the present. My original post about how lucky we are/were to have JB was his loyalty to us as we grew the program into a national power. Of course someone else can have success at SU.
But if JB didnt stick around all those years and chase a bigger check and another school, i am confident saying that we would not consider SU a "basketball school"

Just don’t think there have been many, if any, true opportunities to “chase a bigger check.” Ideally I think he is better for the NBA. He’s not a teacher anymore and doesn’t want to bother with teaching fundamentals (shows on the court). Or a mentor-type. I think a guy like Beilein was much different.
