Such a let down of a season. Hope to have him back, but if he leaves, we will live

So what's the deal with our players disliking JB?

I have no inside scoop, but if he treats his players like he does reporters, I wouldn't want to play for him either. He is also not a very inspiring coach, as he lacks energy, and enthusiasm. He's a brilliant coach, but I think Hop carried him by recruiting lights out. We need someone like a Dino Babers to inject some excitement back into the program... the sooner the better.

It all makes sense now. Kid is gunna do what's best for him and his loved ones. Bummed because we will need him and our roster is going to be pretty ehhh.

I'm sad to see him leave as well. I think there are other options available for him that would allow him to stay in school, but he's going to do what he's going to do. Looking pretty grim next season because I'm not convinced he's the only one heading out the door.

He is an older prospect. Maybe he just wants to get paid to play outside of the NBA.
Either way, would rather have someone hungry to play and be here than someone more focused on his draft stock.
We will miss his rebounding for sure, but I love Braswellβs background and potential. OB is a great player and I would miss him but if heβs unhappy he should do what is best for him.
Not sold on him leaving yet though. He has the chance to be a leader and set the tone. I believe in him

I know what you mean, but he was objectively much worse this year than as a freshman. And if we are going to have a rebuild year, letβs get our young guys some run under their belt. We are so completely better under the radar

I just don't think we will have enough talent or size/muscle on the roster next season. Definitely not expecting much. Would LOVE to be wrong.

Rebounding will be rough, but I would trade OBs boards for an actual offense Also itβs BS that Jazz has more stars than me, deank, Iβve been a board member longer π€π€π€π€π€π€

BUT weight does! See my stats in the Syracuse Beanpoles thread. Also,I don't think Oshae was the biggest problem on offense. It was lack of a point guard, and lack of offense from the center position (meaningless high ball screens) and a total lack of any free points on offensive put backs. We also couldn't drive to the basket because we were grossly outweighed/outmuscled. If you want more stars than me you have to post more. I have like double the number of posts!!! LOL π I'm glad you're more active. Even if we don't always agree, having more dialogue is good for the growth of the board.

Another reason, again IMHO that he's leaving, is he didn't want to be put in a PF position but wanted to sit out and chuck up threes or shoot long two's. Might have been some head bumping with him and JB on that which could be a player as well as the other thing. Gotta side with JB on this one, we needed a post up player and he was the best option. It would have benefited both the team and him in the long run. His outside shooting was atrocious this year.
