Very interesting tweet by this guy who seems to know these kids if u check out his timeline...would be horrible for him.to spill the beans like this when AA hasnt made any public announcement yet...I hope it's someone else in the pic because him going to uconn would suck.

Really makes getting another versiitile 4/5 that much more important. I hope Sidibe looks better in the next exhibition game. Isaiah Stewart can commit to Syracuse anytime ... that'd make us all forget about Akok! πππ

Seeing that Pitt is in the final five for Qudus Wahab and Akok Akok, it is safe to say that the Panthers' best chances remain with those two. Wahab just visited Pitt over the weekend and will likely visit Syracuse this weekend, the last visit that he will take before his commitment. This is a toss-up between each of his finalists: Georgetown, Pitt, Syracuse, UConn and Virginia Tech. The Panthers have a fine shot here and could definitely snag Wahab, but they are in an even better spot for Akok.
The top 35 forward is done with his visits, and now it is all about weighing the pros and cons of his finalists: Georgetown, Pitt, Providence, Syracuse and UConn. Not many have a pulse on Akok, including those even in his inner circle, but whispers lately have surrounded the Panthers and Huskies. Keeping that in mind, I will say Akok is the guy Pitt is in the best spot for, though the Panthers could end up striking with both or missing on each.

Interesting article... he says he's still not ready to commit. Is he holding out for a better offer? He's been to all these schools. If he really wanted UCONN wouldn't he just commit to them? Is there a chance we're still an option?

Things have been fairly quiet for summer breakout star Akok Akok since finishing out his official visits. Akokβs last trip was to Pittsburgh the weekend of Oct. 26. He took official visits to his other four finalists β Connecticut (Oct. 13), Georgetown (Oct. 6), Providence (Sept. 29) and Syracuse (Oct. 20) β as well. Although Akok hasnβt publicly narrowed his list, our guess is that his decision comes down to Connecticut and Pittsburgh.
Schools: Connecticut, Georgetown, Pittsburgh, Providence, Syracuse
