Yep Memphis has taken over the top spot IMHO when it comes to recruiting with the slime balls close behind (Dook and UK). I don't think Penny is dirty, well not at this point, but he and Mike Miller probably have lots of connections on getting kids into the NBA plus both were really good players both in college and in the pro's.
I'm going to say our chances of landing this kid at this point are slim to none and expect staff will back off eventually to pursue someone else.

Why he could rise: Like Askew, Chandler is on his way to a five-star ranking and he's locked up in an intense competition with Askew for the top spot in the point guard rankings. Chandler gets to the rim at will, makes great decisions and is a proven winner who led MoKan Elite to a Peach Jam title.
Recruitment: There are few players in the country as heavily recruited as Chandler. He now has in the neighborhood of 40 scholarship offers, including hometown Memphis, Arizona, Auburn, Arkansas, LSU, Michigan, Oregon, Kansas, Mississippi State and many more.

We havenβt been able to land an elite pure point guard in ages. We always get combo guards. Hate to sound negative but there is no chance in hell Chandler picks Syracuse over the other offers heβs received. Zip, zero, nada...
