Good article and although they were hinting at it, it is time for him to retire -

A solution I saw on the other board. Get a big name coach NOW so all is not lost in recruiting sooner than later. Announce that JB is stepping down after the season ends. Announce it before the end of the season so fans can pack the Dome for his last appearance and give him a dignified send off. I think this would be the most gracious and time effective way to do it. Moving forward we need a complete overhaul. New players new system fast. Get the right coach and we’ll be fine. It’s can only get worse if this current system and method continues.

We should make a list of guys we would have a legit shot at. I think we spend the $$$ to get Mark Few. I think this would be more realistic than getting Hop back. Mark has been at Gonzaga for like 20 years, he might want a change, new challenge and a big pay raise. Replacing a legend is not easy, you need someone who can do it. Look what happened at Arizona with Lute or Georgetown with JT. I do not want to see a stop gap until a 3rd or 4th coach comes in and makes it right.

But didn’t Georgetown just hire an assistant right away? Esherick? We cannot do something stupid like that. Few would be fine. I like Dana Altman a lot too at Oregon. Both have Canada connects. People forget Oregon went to the F4 after losing their C in the PAC-12 Tourney. He was an awesome shot blocker and decent enough offensive player. They almost beat UNC too. Tremendous coaching job. But I don’t know if he would leave the Nike empire there. At this stage, Louisville is probably an overall better program and job so I don’t see Mack leaving.

Should be able to keep it close against Georgetown with their two key losses. But, if they also blow us out short handed then Wildhack might need to step in at the tarmac at Dulles or Reagan and pull the plug.

I think we’re gonna have a hard time with the YellowJackets, especially Banks. We don’t have anyone that can guard him.
Georgia Tech 69 Syracuse 59

Hughes has been Kobe Bryant!! Wow. Really offsetting some of the godawful play from Sidibe. Should be able to win this one nicely though GTech will make a little run I’m sure.

Did not see that coming. GT looked awful. That Texas transfer did nothing but get fouls.

I didn't even see the score till halfway through the second half and thought they had it backwards, lol. Too involved on watching the football conference ships today but good win for SU.

Really weird. Hughes was just on fire. Took a lot of launches on one or no passes but they were money. Georgia Tech offered not resistance. Banks has lost weight when I did not think he needed to. He was diesel last year. Looks like he lost explosion. Cuse did a good job on their leading scorer. But that guy isn’t close to the level of an Okogie. We looked more athletic than GTech and that tells you something. They were lifeless and turned it over so many times unforced.
Just hoping this isn’t an outlier. They needed to see shots go in and this will help confidence no doubt. But, this was a perfect storm. Hughes blazing the nets early, Banks foul trouble, Georgia Tech flat and uninspired, terrible turnovers. Still, they can build on this. Howard Washington looked really good. Not sure if he played because Alvarado was out and their backup PG was a joke, OR, if JB plans on using him more taking some pressure off of Girard.

Ok so the answer is no. We aren’t losing all three. Can we beat a depleted Georgetown team?

I got faithz in boyz and new JG and company wouldn't let me down. Disappointed that JG got pulled in second half but Howie looked sweetz running the team and should have more assists than he did if some of the guyz would have finished. Glad ole Buddy finally started stroking it and EHughes was on fire manz!
