This was a very bad loss on so many levels. First, our offense which had been looking better, was really stagnant tonight. This was a game we needed to win and we just collapsed in the second half. Sidibe doesn’t deserve to play. Can Hesse really be any worse? And like Jazz said, if he can’t play better than Sidibe, why’d we recruit him? It’s going to be like this against good M2M with those types of bouncy/tough/quick guards. They over dribble and the screens don’t do anything. We have seen this for years but sometimes Tyus could make a play and bail you out.

He’s not quite as good as Battle at creating for himself off the dribble. No one else can take their man off the dribble at all. I’m hoping Quincy can develop.

I think Hughes has become the better basketball player but Tyus is a little stronger and Boeheim just says “go make a play” so Tyus is a little better/stronger going to the rim.

I only watched some of the first half and not surprised by the outcome. When you only play 6 guys kids are going to get tired but a certain stubborn coach doesn't believe in subbing..smh.
Somebody please wake me up when this nightmare is over and JB is gone.

Hell that's been an issue for years now and it all starts with a quality PG which we haven't one since Tyler Ennis.

The lack of edwards is confusing. Maybe because JB knows were so bad defensively at the top he tries to stick with Sidbe down there? (Not that he is even good on D). I still think we would be better off if Eli moved to the top of zone, and Q started down below with Marek and Sidbe. It would hurt us on offense losing Buddy as a shooter but what do we have to lose, especially with Q coming on offensively a bit. Also allows Buddy to come in as a natural role as a shooter off the bench. We all know JB aint moving Buddy to the bench though. Too analyze how we can become better has become kind of exhausting though, the team just is not good and by far the worst 'cuse team I have ever watched.
One positive is I do think Jg3 will be a very good 4 year player for us and big time scorer as the years go on.

Bailing out the staff for the Carey failure/debacle let’s be honest. Just shouldn’t be playing these kinds of HEAVY minutes at this stage and it gets magnified against these types of teams. Ironically these dudes are mid-majors that Young has cobbled together. I agree he’ll be a big scorer when it’s all said and done. Yeah you are probably right re: Edwards. Probably not the best opponent for him. Still, Marek and CD Bay get pinballed around plenty and have their own set of problems on D. Marek’s closeout in that corner, lol? OMG.

Edwards could have used a redshirt year just like JAB.

Edwards could have used a redshirt year just like JAB. The fact that both of the centers we recruited for this season likely needed redshirt years says it all when we needed a college ready big. A total joke that JBA, the guy the Nazi regime on the other board says was our primary target, had to take a redshirt season is a total joke. Recruiting one of JBA or Jesse is fine to develop and have in a few years... no issue. But when you need a starting center and you recruit two beanpoles who are light years away, I’m sorry... JB deserves the lashing he’s received for horrible recruiting and roster management.
