Not the beef we want but way more skilled then anyone we got. Top talent and would be a huge get. Going to be tough recruting battle. Think of a player like Isaiah Jackson.

Would be a nice get but can't see us landing a kid from Georgia.

Would be a nice get but can't see us landing a kid from Georgia. Agree...unless he sees as as a good fit. Isaiah Jackson like who would thrive as a rim protector and as he progresses offensively we could use him much like Christmas (down the road when he gets better/stronger) He fits our style perfectly....selling him on that is another story because the tape we have to show the past few years is awful but thats solely because the lack of athletes we have had at the 5 spot lol. Only show him old tape of christmas/coleman/thomas/Wallace/etc. Nothing recent lol!

Believe it or not, I pass. I want a bruiser. He’s too similar to what we already have. We don’t need another guy without strength, even if he’s “more skilled.” JBA weighs more. Plus I don’t think we make his cut over the other schools recruiting him.

I have mixed feelings. He’s a talented guy, no doubt. Under almost any circumstances, I think you should take a guy like him. But like Jazz points out, does he really mix in well with what our current need is? We don’t need four undersized centers with similar skill sets.
I think we should be looking elsewhere too, but if he wants to come here, I’d certainly welcome him and hope for the best with his development.

I seriously don't understand what kids/parents see with Tom Crean as a coach you would want to play for. I really think the dude has connections to get recruits ($$$), plus he has no clue on how to beat a 2-3 zone.

$EC cash is just different. DEEP pockets for all these kids. That’s a bit of a stretch and it ain’t football. LSU and UK play by their own set of rules I get. Crean like it or not has always been able to recruit. He has a big personality and comes from that Izzo tree of toughness, grit, etc. Attractive to many and I could care less that he has had a couple of bad games against our 2-3 Zone (responding for Deano here). He also has that Harbaugh connection too. I mean he’s a douche to me but I see why players want to play for him and he runs a good system. That’s DWade’s guy as well.

Not sure I agree he runs a good system. Maybe an attractive system to kids is what you are saying?
And more of what I was saying is I refuse to believe not necessarily the schools, but there are boosters down in these big state SEC schools who are throwing cash these kids ways.
