His shot doesn't look as weird in high school - did he try to get a higher release point or something? His release now always looks so awkward.

It’s one of the ugliest shots I’ve ever seen and I don’t get it. He’s gotta fix it. He can’t contribute at this level if he can’t. He has decent frame and size, competes, and doesn’t do anything dumb…..but he brings zero to the table on the offensive end if he can’t make a shot. He’s not a ball handler, play maker, doesn’t get to the hole or get out in transition. We can’t have a starting perimeter player who shoots 32% for much longer. I’m positive a Syracuse starter has not shot worse than that in the modern era of college hoops.

Was he a shooter in high school, or no?
I see some people say he was, some say he was "never expected to be a shoooter."
I like him as a 0-10 minute per game guy. Not sure he wants that role though. Who knows. He's competent, but doesn't do much, he's certainly capable of giving a few minutes here or there though OFF THE BENCH when foul trouble arises, or people just need a blow.

WEll played. I certainly do. He throws up some colossally bad shots on top of it all. When he gets 10 feet from the rim, those turnarounds and me as a 10 year old trying to shoot one over my Dad level of garbage. They don't even look like shots that should enter your mind.

The Taylor Turnaround has been significantly less successful than the Buddy Backdown - and that as our go to offensive play really sucked. What could Joe’s backdown move be called? The Girard Driveway Dreck?

Okay, we're going to bring the game to a screeching hault. Buddy will now dribble in place for 5-10 seconds backing his defender all of 1 foot closer to the rim before shooting a fadeaway mid-range jumper! Amazing!!!!! So glad we schemed this up out of timeouts!
