Not so many buckets last night Sadly no... and his teammates didn’t have his back. That kid stuck to him like glue - it's one of our big issues. A really GOOD pressure team can really shut down a few of our guys entirely. You don't run into that sort of team all that often, but when we do, we're in big trouble as the guys you can shut down tend to be 35-40 MPG players.

I saw on Syracuse.com that Buddy announced he'll be back next year. Was he considering other options or something? I'm guessing someone asked, but that did seem funny for me to read his statement

He is imo not an NBA player. I can see him coaching though. He’s a hard worker and a bright young man.

That being said, unless we get some interesting names, we're REALLY going to need the Buddy from the ACC Tourney, first two rounds of the NCAA tourney, for an entire season. And I have seen nothing that says that consistency is there. Scary.

He was also getting into the paint at will against us. I was worried going in because Jarreau looks like a legit 6’5 and a very good athlete. As good as Buddy has become, he really would be more effective (and so would the team) if we had better athletes and players out there so he can be more of a complementary piece. Not trying to back Jarreau down and take him off the bounce lol. Uh, no.

In certain games - absolutely. Against really good pressure defense though I just don't like it. You can't have a SG that can get bottled up that easily unless you have a super-dynamic PG (Kadary) and SF. We don't. Especially now.

I just wonder if like we had Johnny Juzang on UCLA; would Buddy still start? I mean some of these ISO situations they run for Buddy are ridiculous. He’s just not equipped for it nor probably never will. Fine. He has exceeded expectations but he’s not the kind of ISO player who should be doing some of this stuff.

I like that he went away from it at the end of the year seemingly, but the 17 second to develop, Buddy back-down was one of the most painful things to witness in sports. He makes the shot at a fine clip I suppose, but it's just a horrible play without running more offense and we would use it at times like he was Shaq backing people down in the post.

Yeah without Kadary and Marek I just fear we’re going to revert to a lot of ISO stuff which is what JB is more comfortable with, IMO. We played our best ball playing like a mid-major or like Virginia. Non-stop cutting off the ball, moving the rock, and less ISO.
