Would think could be a number of different of things like privacy matters etc. I have zero clue. Who knows maybe the infection is a lie. But if Sidbe in their opinion really couldn't play because of physical limitations I do no think they would have him back to get actual minutes. In regards to Frank/Jesse/Sidbe I suppose I hope the best 2 play and get majority of minutes. Agreed Sidbe does not have a serious body of work. But after having to see Marek play out of position at Center, and probably being smaller and less athletic on the wings with Cole and Jimmy I think any big physical presence we can have is worth a shot. I guess the way I view it. Lets say Sidbe left and we had Jesse and Frank at the 5. If Jesse continued to progress and started/played 28 mpg with Frank getting 12. Jesse would still have his senior left. Frank would probably leave in that instance anyway. I agree that it’s possible we could still lose Frank, regardless of Sidibe. I also agree we should always want the best guys on the court. I just don’t see the love affair that many have for Sidibe. He hasn’t proven a thing, beyond a handful of nice games. As for privacy??? Why would that need to be private? I mean seriously did he have syphilis of the knee (joke)? I’m just not buying it one bit.

I think the love affair has often been based on lack of better options. At this point there is some optimism that they other two would eclipse him either way. I don't know. Considering all the unknowns, what's another!

The good news is it does not appear that Frank is going anywhere. Obviously things can change day to day, but he certainly appears like at the moment he will be here next year.

I don’t care what JB said to Axe either. Bunch of bullshit most likely. He said something like Sidibe is feeling the best he has ever felt now and just about a month prior heading into the Tourney he was adamant in pressers saying, “He can’t practice.” I’d prefer to have him be a mentor to the youngins in practice/off court. I have no idea if/when Frank will be ready. But, it would be nice if his ranking translates to on the court production. Ideally, you have him starting and Edwards off the bench has a change of pace presence. I don’t think Edwards is starting material. He’s a bit of a plodder still and you can’t play him against small lineups.

At this point, I'm going to guess Frank leaves, and Sidibe is 100% healthy going into the year, but then quickly suffers a toe injury and Benny is blamed for everything.

I have to say at this point after seeing Sid operate a bit, he looks far more useful than I would have imagined considering his minutes so far this year.
We should have gone with the TRI-TOWER lineup often! EDWARDS ---- SID ---- FRANK/AJAK
Boom! We could have any of our three centers contesting corner threes!

Agreed… he’s serviceable for 10 minutes a game. That’s a huge lift.

Agreed… he’s serviceable for 10 minutes a game. That’s a huge lift. I know. Based off of his minutes earlier in the year I was genuinely assuming he had almost nothing to give. He's been fairly decent and his mobility isn't nearly as bad as I expected. It's good to see him out there and hopefully he can finish up with some highlights and stay healthy.

Sid with another strong performance tonight. He definitely fights in there - he's lost a lot and Williams and Banchero were a bit much for him obviously, but with JBA and Benny on the back line he held his own fairly well.
Regardless, he's been a good story this year.
