Yes but who needs dunks when you remember good times with your best friends forever. God. The memories. It'll always amuse me that maybe the most memorable game of Buddie's career for me, at least the one I had the most fun watching after his Dad started his non-stop "can my son make the NBA" experiment - was the one where he was suspended for the punch and we almost beat Duke. I'd never see us play that well in 3 or 4 years. Jimmy was even outstanding! It was like they knew they weren't getting chipwiches and just played ball for one night. Well, they probably got chipwiches anyway, but still......... You know who never punched an opposing player and got suspended? Kadary Richmond. It’s too bad he wasn’t around that year to provide Buddy with a role model on how to conduct yourself.

I realized finally that none of the kids on this team will ever understand the deliciousness of a chipwich nor know the good times that is Boeheim family game night. And really that’s pretty sad.

Cope is my favorite player since Kadary LOL He was always up there as one of my favorite players to watch, but up through the first few games of this year I started think it would never fully click for him. He seems to have put it together though. Which is great. He's so creative and fun to watch. He just seemed to be sooooooooooooo mistake prone early on. Glad to see him get past that. Kid is just smooth and you can tell he watches the game. I remember Walton saying "best practice player" over and over during the tourney, and thinking that made perfect sense as he just looks like he can do it all with ease. Then the game results never translated for anything more than short stretches. Glad it's going well now! I watched him against Wake in the ACCT and thought he was gonna do big things here!

Turnovers from a young player trying to make a play, usually by passing….those ones never bothered me as much as the ones by guys who can’t dribble getting eaten alive and ripped (Frank Howard, Joe Girard) by pressure defense. Copeland’s always seemed a lot more fixable.

I've been one to see that might be the case but could live with a few mistakes as long as he improved even slightly. Just like this game, he had like 3 boneheaded plays, but the good outweighed the bad, and I'll take it. Maybe I've been starved too long for creativity or excitement...

He definitely had a couple big mistakes….but he just makes so many “extra” plays that most of our players in recent years don’t make. The steals and going coast to coast, the offensive boards and buckets, etc. He’s a guy who has shown the versatility and the effort to have a chance to do most things well. I’ll take that over guys who do one thing well and contribute nothing else - and don’t play all that hard.
