I want to go out to Vegas, and have zero interest in gambling. Would love to hit the bars, and really want to get out of the city and do some of the hikes, explore the wilderness out there. I have a feeling going to the game would end up feeling like a chore though - too much to see! We’ll see! This is on my radar for sure! Otto’s Grove forum meetup in Vegas? I’m concerned I’d never leave.

I think having the game/stadium so close to the action, it will take away the "chore" feeling. You'll want to head out to Red Rock Canyon or Valley of Fire for some hikes. Both ~40 min car rides from the strip. You could spend a whole day at each. Zion is a ~2-3 hour drive, but totally worth it. So many museums, exhibits, shows. Bars every where. Even if you have no interest in gambling, the casinos are awesome to explore. Different restaurants and bars in each. Epic people watching opportunities. Fremont street is a must. The other day I was out at the Wheel of Misfortune and met a homeless dude who was building a zipline out there. I declined his invitation for me to be the first one to try it, but I think I made a lifelong friend!

I've lived here off and on for the last 3 years. I fully anticipate the weekend of this game being the wildest I've been in Vegas lol. Most of my Cuse travel group is in their 60s, so that usually slows me down a little, but this one is gonna be different. Buckle up baby!

So I’ll probably be the youngest guy there honestly. I’ll probably spend hundreds in alcohol alone

I’m leaning towards either Mandalay Bay or ParkMgm. Don’t really know which is closer to the stadium. Park has more good looking restaurants but MB has an aquarium. Choices choices

Otto’s Grove forum meetup in Vegas? I’m concerned I’d never leave. Costa Rica is out. Old OT board is taking over Vegas!

I think it might’ve been you who told me about Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire last year on the OT board - my fantasy b-ball league was trying to hold our draft out there. But too many were out or waffling like me, so it was called off. Except for one guy who was all fired up on Vegas and had already cleared it with his wife, so he just went out there anyway by himself. Someone else I know did a random, spur of the moment Vegas trip by herself and did Valley of Fire. Seems like a trip I’ve gotta make at least once, and having an SU football game out there is probably once in a lifetime. I should do it.

A huge destination to drink and party and explore and the place will be littered with Cuse fans? It sounds like the best few days ever. Alcohol, women, gambling and Cuse football

Choices choices Mandalay Bay is as close as you can stay to the stadium. (Delano might be closer, but they're basically attached) Park MGM is pretty close tho. You'd walk through NYNY, go upstairs take the bridge across to Excalibur and jump the free tram to Mandalay Bay. I did MB's aquarium last spring. Small, but cool. I wouldn't say you needed to pick your hotel because of it though. No matter where you stay, check out the restaurants and attractions at all the casinos around you. Can totally eat lunch at the Luxor, swing over to MB to check out the aquarium, have dinner at Park MGM then catch a show at NYNY. BUT if you're someone who doesn't like to walk around or just wants to hang in one spot, then ignore everything I just said haha

Alcohol, women, gambling and Cuse football I might just be a little high and really excited but I really think this is going to feel like the night we won the Atlantis championship in 2016. 1000 cuse fans all hanging out in the casino, having a blast. Playing black jack with tyler lydon. But this should be like, 10,000 cuse fans at least right? or more?! As long as we win, I think the casino/sportsbook after the game is going to have a real special feel to it. I've felt this way for the Atlantis night, and the night we beat Zaga in the sweet 16 (that was actually more fun than beating Virginia a few days later, because the team and a lot of fans flew home almost immediately)

My Pharmacy Tech job in a hospital has prepared me for walking miles in a day haha. How much more of a transit time to the stadium is it from park? I like their no smoking thing personally and that it’s not at the end. I would like to avoid Uber costs as much as possible (can’t get rid of in entirely if I want to party with everyone ofc)

I’ve only been to 1 SU football win and that was the CWB, I’ve been to 3 other games against FSU and all losses lol. The way the schedule works make it even more exciting. If we are able to take care of business we will be 4-0 with also being 2-0 in conference heading into that game. Momentum will be through the literal roof with eyes on going 5-0 and possibly ranked. Theres gonna be at least 10k fans there I feel if we can get to 4-0 or even 3-1 that is competitive. This is going to be the best experience of many Cuse fans lives, hopefully for me at least
