Me too. I just don’t see a lot of shooting coming from elsewhere, other than JJ. He better learn to compete on the boards and defense though. Zero reason a 6’7 guy who plays starters minutes can’t average 5-6 boards per game. Bell has to make a huuuuge leap. Otherwise I’m gonna have to bank on Freeman and Brown perfecting their stroke. I'd put JJ in that same category. Actually Bell has been better than JJ for the entire season.

Better skillset makes me feel better about future growth. Bell I can’t see being anything more than a shooter on offense. Both need to be better on the other end though.

Agreed, I think JJ has a much more developed game offensively than Bell. The problem is the way that he plays defense might not matter that much.

I wish he could incorporate that level of timing, leaping, and hustle into his rebounding, at some point.

Just fucking play solid defense and don’t worry so much about blocks (or steals for that matter!)

Because he can’t go lateral on offense either. Or maybe it’s a little of both.

Must’ve missed something - who on Syracusefan was talking about Bell at the 2? Because I see all kinds of references to it.
He mightve been able to play the 2 in 1988. Where do these takes come from?

AlaskaSU and KCSU are the dumbest boomers around over there. They continuously post things that will never happen. I’m convinced they do it to drive other people nuts.

He can’t defend his own position so he should defend quicker players with better ball handling abilities. He’s tall!

Meh. Average player, at best.
