Maliq needs to get better but obviously you see the skills.
Copeland has moments every 5th game, then plays like it’s a YMCA game.
I don’t see anyone else of value worth keeping. JJ slips through the cracks because he disappears so much. I feel like he’ll get the spotlight/target next year unless he improves

It seemed like he really turned a corner on offense, but did very little to score, or facilitate the last bunch of games. That hurt a lot - as his shooting really needed to be the compliment to Bell.

Some of the takes on the other board are laughable. JJ testing the waters? Maliq a problem last night? Quadir as the pg next year? The collective intelligence of our fans is hilarious.

JJ testing what waters? Pro? Insane. Maliq is a great player for what he is. He’s not a go to scorer or off the dribble creator. Hes not a low post scorer. He’s Draymond - great passer when he gets the ball after screening, efficient finisher, good FT shooter, solid rebounder, and versatile defender. Not a rim protector or a post up player, so by 1986 standards - he sucks. Hes a great piece. Get a real PG, more shooters, and a real center, and he fits in beautifully. I go back and forth on Cope - much like his performance, lol. But he was greatly improved this year. Hoping he makes a similar jump next year and that next year’s jump includes a significantly improved outside shot. I think his playmaking skills will work better with Judah out of there and another shooter in there. Last night when Bell was on the bench with foul trouble and Judah in there chucking, and Taylor just in the way and NC State mauling us with no whistles - it was ugly. QC was forcing things big time. Replace Judah with a better shooter and Taylor with a guy who can walk and chew gum, and I think the game gets a lot easier for QC - even more so if he can become a decent outside shooter himself.

I didn’t think Maliq was good last night, at all. A lot of standing around on defense, and poor positioning. Hard to really say anything about his offense, because he really never shoots unless either he’s within five feet of the basket, or the shot clock is about to expire.

Our fanbase is stupid because that is way the people at the top of that board want it. JJ could leave and I wouldn’t bat an eye. He plays no defense and his offense is hot or cold. He isn’t Brandon Triche. Maliq had to deal with a fat boy who physically got away with pushing on offense and the stupidity in our gameplan wasn’t to run offense with Brown putting Burns into moving and wearing him out was stupid. Brown played well. It’s not his fault Bell didn’t want to work on defense and the boards or that Taylor was literally like a scared freshman in a JV game on offense. Mintz can leave now. I get he scores but watching him play is maddening and not in a fun way. Copeland I like but last night he was awful and just so damn sloppy with the ball. He isn’t a starter for me next year but a bench kid who will have games he plays more than starters and other games he is just playing 10-15 mpg if he is off. Bell can leave as well. Southerland could shoot but he also tried on defense and Bell doesn’t want to do that. I am okay with the coaching staff but this program has gotten soft and the players embody that. We need tougher players. The entire roster needs to be overturned sans Brown. We got Freeman hopefully he isn’t another Benny. I no longer expect anything and am in prove it mode. 5 years now we haven’t been ranked one week. The weeks in 2018 were based on the sweet 16 run and not real. Top 25 next year should be the expectation. Enough the stench of Boeheim is gone even though his mouth on commentary can’t stop him from saying shit to motivate our opponents. The other board still has people who think we would be fine if we were in the Big East when the conference has very little to do with our downfall. It’s talent. Mike Hopkins when he was AHC brought in talent. That talent declined when he left and Jimmy just wanted to coach his kids. Hop showed he is a good #2 but not a good #1. Thankfully Freeman is a step in the right direction. We need multiple players from the portal and Hima/Taylor and ideally one of Patterson/Carey get Calhoun’d off the roster and Mintz/Bell leave.

A noun, a verb, and Jim Boeheim. My frustration with this program is completely directed at Jim Boeheim. Nothing I say is unfair. I don’t go for the cheap shots for stuff that is unfair.

I gotta say, as a b-ball fan I really like Burns. Great footwork and touch.
Definitely got away with several offensive fouls and can be a defensive liability, but in today’s game he’s a unique player and I enjoy watching what he brings to the game.

Also, I hope Burns gives Duke 30 and puts a solid elbow into Flip’s mouth and/or chest.

It's demoralizing. I feel like we're no closer to being a top 4 ACC team.
JJ is improved from November, but he was a disaster in November and is still a defnesive liability.
Bell is shooter and nothing more. He shouldn't be a starter on a contending ACC team.
Maliq is fine.
Copeland is inconsistent. Except his shooting which is consistently bad.
Judah Mintz can go and take his weird family with him.
The only thing I will say is that I'm more excited for our incoming recruits than I have been since maybe Tyus Battle in 2017. And we seem to be more involved and more aggressively persuing top talent than we were when the Chipwhich gang were logging all the minutes.
