Akok Akok, the 6-foot-9 power forward from Putnam Science Academy (CT), trips to UConn this weekend (Oct. 13) for his third official visit. Akok, who cut his list to five last month, has taken official visits to Providence (Sept. 28) and Georgetown (Oct. 6). He also has official visits planned to Syracuse (Oct. 20) and Pittsburgh (Oct. 23).

That's a good thing to hear! Folks at syracusefan.com ripped me to to shreds for being upset about this, as though I was the one who started the rumors. LMAO they even banned me after I posted that they were censoring me by not letting me post on the Akok thread. Hope this board picks up. It'll be nice to be on a board where freedom of speech is allowed.

If you were a recruit would you rather play in the ACC or the league UConn is in.

Boneryard thinking they are hearing a announcement regarding akok this evening or tomorrow. Disappointing if true. But these guys also did this a couple days ago, and Akok himself said it was untrue. Either way, it won't matter if we land Stewart. That would trump them! C'mon Isaiah!!! Now if we miss on both, that would sting. But, I have a good feeling about Stewart. Not a single other program can offer Stewart the chance to play with two friends, for a HOF coach in the best conference, in his home state where his Dad can watch. He'll make the NBA regardless of which school he attends, so why not stay home. Makes too much sense.
