It’d be nice to wrap this recruitment up this weekend. I don’t feel as confident about Isaiah, but Kadary is definitely not a consolation prize for missing on Andre. Kadary might not jump out of the gym but he’s got a better overall game in my opinion.

I’ll be happy if we get Kadary but I really wanted Isaiah. We used to get really good big men like Seikaly, Coleman, Etan, Arinze, Rick, Rak, and Fab. I wish we could recruit like we used too. :-(

I think kadary is going to end up being really really good for us...just gotta close and wrap it up this weekend. Isaiah would put us back to where we should be and give us a chance to contend with the upper half of the acc and get a good tourney seed. I'll be bummed if we dont land him and he goes to bama. UK I totally understand and can accept that. Bama would hurt my feelings lol.

I’m super happy it looks like we will land Kadary, but to lose Isaiah to Bama (if that’s what happens) will really sting, and shouldn’t happen.

But, Syracuse the past 5-6 years haven’t been much on the court and we’ve been ugly to say the least as a product displayed out there. Who really is JB to these CURRENT high schoolers? Carmelo? Dion? Ghosts of the past sad to say. The fiasco with Hop? Again, absolutely no surprise to me if Bama wins this.

We haven’t recruited an elite big man in what seems like ages for a multitude of reasons. A sloppy product, sanctions, zone exclusivity, JB’s age and cantankerous personality, and lack of recent success in the NBA. Only Jeremi Grant is playing well these days. We’re a middle of the pack ACC team now, and that doesn’t get it done recruiting.

Kadary lists himself as a “6’6” Point “God” on his Twitter page. I’m thrilled that we’re likely bringing him in, but for the love of God, not as a point guard!!!!!!! I’m so sick of combo guards at point that can’t run a team. Does JB ever learn? ?

I wonder when he will commit? I agree that we shouldn’t be recruiting him as a point guard.

This is very good news!! IJ is 95% Alabama, IMO, but Kadary is a greater need. I don’t even truly believe IJ is a 5 but SU wanted to put him at C.
Kadary is pretty smooth with skill. If Elijah leaves and if Carey continues to struggle then having Kadary around is huge. I don’t really think Hughes is an NBA player but he’s on the older side so he may want to start a pro career somewhere. Carey who knows. Welcome aboard Kadary!

This is a really nice pickup by the staff. I like his game, and the improvement/rise up the rankings is really impressive. I maintain that he can become a better player than Dre. My only concern is that I really believe we needed to obtain a big man (Isaiah) that would be more college ready. At this point, we just have to hope and pray that JBA and Jesse can contribute quickly.
But getting back to Kadary, this kid has a nice game, and I’m very happy he has chosen SU. Does anyone know how his first name is pronounced?
