I’d put a lot of money on Dior not coming if we are in the NIT the next two seasons (would’ve been this one too) which is a realistic possibility , IMO. I’m not even talking about the pro/NBA angle. This program is a dumpster fire if you take off the Orange glasses. I don't agree. I'm 60/40 he goes straight to the NBA but I don't think our current roster concerns him. He is a top 5 kid and clearly committed early to convince kids like Chance and Mac to follow. If that happens the current roster is a non-issue.

I mean more the state of the program and ‘juice’ of the program. Potentially two NITs is not a good look at all and I seriously doubt that’s going to sit well with Dior if it comes to that. You’d have all sorts of negativity (justified), poachers, etc., to overcome to keep him committed to a program slumping big time. Just my $.02.

I get what you are saying and I'm not saying it makes no sense. Dior is very vocal about how he doesn't want to play for a blue blood and has no interest and has been very vocal about Syracuse as well as even when the guard recently transferred he said they might not have had what it takes to be a guard in the ACC for Syracuse. I think a lot of these top 5 kids have this mindset that who cares they will be good because I'm there. It's not like he is a front court player either he is the point guard with the ball in his hand. All the staff has to say is we have not had a guard that can push the ball like you in a long time and we are giving you the keys. I was in the no way does he come in here camp a year ago and honestly I'm probably just trying to convince myself it will still happen because there is literally nothing else to look forward to in regards to the program.

OaK Hill is a great school. Devo, Billy Edelin, BMK and Melo went there.

This is good news I think. Get him out of Cali and away from LBJ/Rich Paul and co. Love LBJ but no way would he advocate going to SU when it comes down to it to play Zone for Boeheim instead of this potential new GLeague opportunity. I mean I wouldn’t either, lol.

Did you listen to Dean's pod cause that's pretty much what he said Ha! I’m going to listen momentarily. Looks like a lot of content! I mean why would any stud recruit NOT do this especially if college doesn’t interest him. I mean pro baseball is basically like this, no? Don’t need college. It’s more of the amateurism/pro argument and not a Syracuse issue though I think it would be difficult to get LeBron to actually approve Dion going to Boeheim and SU, regardless.

Feels like there are another 400 things that will happen in this recruitment until Dior either shows up on campus or goes pro.
Two days ago was bad G league news. Today Oak Hill seems possitive. We shall see!

Why him? You can’t watch Johnson with the ball and not have an appreciation for how crafty and clever he is. The way he sets up defenders in the pick and roll, his ability to find ways to finish with either hand around the rim and his vision as a passer are all sublime. You aren’t as good as a guy like Johnson without hard work, but he also has natural instincts and feel with which very few are born.
Recruitment: Committed to Syracuse.
