Nice find man. You’ve been putting in Yeoman’s work finding potential targets. He looks pretty good! Not the strongest or most athletic but skilled. I think a kid like this is what we hope Jesse can become. Probably the ceiling with Jesse. Yeah, but a good shotblocker for sure!

Covid boredom has me obsessing over a future cuse big man! Lol. Definitely not as strong as I'd like but he is very very talented at anticipating shots and blocking them. Would be tough getting into the middle of our zone with him there. Kid can shoot decent too. Would work well in pick n pop situations and being opposing big men out of the paint area creating space for our guards to work and slash. Hes definitely worth a look I think but who knows what our staff wants. I passed this info along to a cuse coach so we'll see. Not even sure if the kid would be interested but damn it I'd have to think he'd be thrilled to talk with cuse considering where hes transfering from.

From a Michigan site 2 days ago. Hasnt been much on this kids recruitment since his transfer announcement but it appears a few new schools are pursuing. Hopefully we give it a shot.
"Hayden Koval, Central Arkansas (traditional): At 7-foot, 220 pounds with 3-point shooting capabilities, Koval could offer a relative change of pace to Dickinson and Davis, who project to be more back-to-the-basket centers. Koval averaged 12.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.1 blocks last season. Koval’s recruitment has been quiet, but it appears that Louisville, Virginia Tech, Gonzaga and Illinois are among recent schools to inquire."

So... if we inquire at all we’ll be a day late and a dollar short with Louisville, Va Tech, Gonzaga and Illinois reaching out ahead of us. Disappointing, especially since you practically served this tip on his potential availability to the staff on a silver platter ahead of the other team’s inquiries. If we go into next season with Sidibe, JBA, and Jesse as our centers (and please don’t include Marek in this equation), I’m going to be beyond pissed.

As most of us logical fans suspect, this won’t get better until a new coach and system is installed. The plus side is there is depth at the C position in case of injury. The downside is that all of them aren’t really good or are total projects.
