Big 4Q to win. Outplayed most of the game by a team nobody knew much about from Korea. The new players Tyrese Rice and Kane saved them. Malachi hit a few threes but the other Cuse players looked awful. Lydon was horrendous. McCullough missed two dunks. Fair and Andrew White looked slow, etc.

Outside of rebounding Alyson wasn’t any help. DJ Kennedy for all the hype they gave him was a dud too. Not impressed with this team. I just understand not having an AO or big man who can score inside or post up.

McCullough and Lydon were both useless in the post. Abused on D by that big dude.

Came out better focused and got off to a big lead. No Zone today. Heartfire came back then our guys pulled away. Real solid game from MCCullough. Hit the game winner. Kane was solid. Fair had a good 1H. Lydon had one dunk and about a minute or two of good play. Otherwise, really struggled again and got abused on D especially when they attacked him on switches. Rice and Mali were quiet today but MUCH better effort and team contributions. Kennedy was solid today. Can’t have Andrew White and Lydon out there. Bulldogs on the other teams make it tough on them.

That was one of the worst officiated TBT games I've seen. The one play where Lydon got pulled to the floor and no call was horrible. Then on a 3 on 1 break Mali got abused as he was going to the rim and again no call. If these guys don't want to call anything in these games then stay home. They should ashamed of how bad they were last night.

I watched some of the game. I enjoyed it but I wish we had stuck with just SU guys. Too many non Cuse guys playing. We’re really soft inside. We really need a guy like Arinze or Rak on the interior. Don’t see us winning this year but it was definitely a better effort than the first game.

We got sent to the line a few times on ticky-tap stuff so not complaining really on whether it was fair or not. But, yeah, the refs were not good at all!

Def need the scrappy and good all around players like Kane. If not for Kane and Rice we would lose every game. Fortunately they didn’t play Zone either.

Yeah it’s a tough predicament. Definitely not as fun but then again our viewing would be cut extremely short if all Cuse guys played! Still, it’s not the same having three of the starters (the right move) non-Cuse players…Kane/Rice/Kennedy.

Wow. Hats off to the guys overcoming that travesty of an officiated game. Was a street fight/brawl. Terrible on both sides but the Braves initiated all the muggings/hard fouls without any whistles. It eventually cost them as we pulled away. Huge 2Q by MCullough and Sykes. Gave us enough of a cushion as I don’t think the Braves got within 7 points. Crazy atmosphere with the home team venue. McCullough was outstanding. Kane, Fair, and Kennedy were solid. On to Dayton!

Kudos to the players and coach this year for TBT. Without a doubt adding these other players has showed significance on what we've been lacking in past years. Rice has been MVP so far hands down. Was spectacular again yesterday and the pick-pocket lay-up was awesome. For those that may haven't seen it see link below. McCullough has been the second best player on the team and only real force inside on offense. Lydon still plays like a wuss sometimes. He's good for rebounding, lay-ups, and put backs. Besides that his outside shooting has been horrid. DJ Kennedy hasn't been great either and think it's age thing. Would be surprised if he plays next year. Really like D. Kane - solid player on both ends. The other back-up guard Sykes is okay but not sure if I would ask him back. CJ Fair has played good at times too and solid off the bench. A. White looks lost on D and haven't seen him a shot yet. Someone else that might not be back next year either although I think he has a great stroke. Devo is Devo - still want to see him play next year.

Congrats! Wow…Sykes. What a game. I’m impressed they won with Kane out since he is such a glue guy.
Sykes is good because he can handle the rock well and plays pretty good on ball D. Much like current Syracuse teams of late, BA has struggled in the past not having enough good ballhandlers and downhill guys. Rice and Sykes no problems there though Rice overdribbles sometimes and gets sloppy. Still, he was clutch all Tourney. I’ve seen enough of Richardson. Done with him. McCullough was real solid after game 1. Hopefully Eric comes back. Can’t play him a ton and especially not against the guards like on Florida TNT but he can still contribute here and there.

I wish Mali the best and hope he can make some good money in his career overseas. But it is pretty clear why it did not work out in the NBA. Lydon too for that matter.
They really are the exact same players they were from the last games at Cuse. No real tangible improvements. Interesting to think about that Mali really got drafted because of a 10 minute spurt vs UVA. If that does not happen and we lose, we hang our hat on a fun elite 8 run. Then the following year return Mali and Lydon to what we thought pre season was a deep and talented team but just could not defend. His size and length would of helped big time.
Him, a freshman Battle, and Lydon would of made a nice trio.
