Go on record (all seven of us who post here!)
I think while he may be better suited returning for another year, he’s been so deadest on the draft for so long he keeps his name in, bets on himself, and let’s the chips fall where they may. YOLO

No. These things never work out in our favor.

No. These things never work out in our favor. Well Tyus Battle worked out for us five years ago so I figure it’ll be another twenty before another goes our way.

You know what I think.
BTW, his “dad” hasn’t posted on the board since early April.

You know what I think. BTW, his “dad” hasn’t posted on the board since early April. CLMintz’s comments were basically “he’s doing this on his own with no help and a terrible scheme, imagine if he went to Alabama or even NC State.” He actually said that…”or even NC State.” So yeah, he clearly wasn’t a fan of the program. Hopefully he can see that things will be very different in approach and in terms of perimeter talent next year, though.

Maybe that’s where the DePaul smoke was coming from. But he let his son make the final call on where to play. Now it’s different. I bet he’s pushing Judah to go pro…because he “knows better.” He doesn’t like SU - even with the new coach and influx of talent - and he thinks Judah is the next great point guard.

“Judah will be playing in the nba this season or next for certain. It’s just a matter of where he gets picked. Unfortunately he’s not as sexy as some of the projected first round guys, despite having comparable or even better stats. Keep in mind he was 3rd leading scorer of all freshman at 16.3 ppg. Brandon Milller and Bryce Sensabaugh were 1 and 2.”
Perhaps JBs offensive system, that he trashed, had something to do with that?
He might’ve been able to play man to man elsewhere, might’ve been more efficient elsewhere, had his weaknesses more well hidden, and won more games elsewhere. But I highly doubt he would’ve scored more points at any of the other schools he was considering going to out of high school.

His dad is back and ready to defend his son’s decision for the rest of the summer.

Honestly families should refrain from posting. They come off terribly 99 percent of the time. And naturally everyone is tripping over each other to gargle his nuts.

I'm a strike while the iron is hot person - Judah is one of those that I think does help himself by coming back. He doesn't jump off the charts in any one area - with that being the case I think he just stands to increase his profile. I mean, anything can happen, but I think it benefits him to stay - work on his game - improve the numbers and get a lot of great press with the "return of Syracuse" narrative.

It’s really not even that great of an opportunity. Hope to maybe be a late 2nd round pick, and if not try to work your way up from the G League? You can do that after any season. You don’t leave after 1 year for that, unless you’re desperately in need of money or can’t/won’t do the school work. Tyler Ennis left to be a first round pick and while he was a different player than Mintz, Ennis didn’t stick largely because he couldn’t quite shoot good enough. And he was a far better outside shooter as a freshman than Mintz! There’s very real risk of going too early, and I think some fans overlook that. NBA has a new crop coming in every single year, they’re not waiting on and coddling you for long if you’re not good enough.

I’m not expecting a rational decision and neither should you. In all honesty, I would prefer Quinerly anyway.
