I get the oats/michigan connection but if we lose out on this one to bama for a basketball recruit it says a lot. Most recruiting gurus arent even talking about us. Hope we can pull this one off to go along with kadary.

I hear you in theory but would not surprise me one bit. Oats is much younger and a hot name. Easier to relate to. Big personality and his teams play with swag. I mean it would be easy to negatively recruit against JB and SU. They completey big boyed us and made us look like a JV team last season. You can make the case that they outplayed us even the season before. Plus, Oats is known to watch a lot of film. IJโs father mentioned that in an interview how detailed he is. JB is the opposite, IMO, and has even in the past publicly stated how he doesnโt put much stock into watching tape. Those are just a few of the factors working against us to consider.

If Meyer put this prediction in a different week Iโd be worried but IJ is visiting Bama this weekend so Iโm not really worried. Weโre in this one. the race is almost over.

Like sobecuse said youth vs old coach's is hurting us right now. Get used to this till the ole man finally retires.

Like sobecuse said youth vs old coach's is hurting us right now. Get used to this till the ole man finally retires. It is what it is. You canโt compare him to Coach K either. That guy just transcends time, has a magnetic personality, and is revered fair or unfair. Canโt really compare to Roy either. Roy is a father figure and his players will run through walls for him. Nobody has ever come forward to say anything negative about him. He probably has been the best offensive coach in the game the past 10 years or so and beyond. Certainly Beilein, K, Few, and Wright are in the discussion too.

I think it's a Roll Tide announcement at this time.

I think it's a Roll Tide announcement at this time. Iโm not surprised. Weโve been awful at recruiting Bigs for quite a while now. Iโm gonna vomit this season when Dolejaz plays center if Sidibe isnโt healthy, and JBA and Jesse are not ready.

Their style of play is great. Perkins abused us inside and Massinburg and co. owned our guards. Then we quit mid 2H.

He hasn't set a date to announce his commitment yet, but it shouldn't be too much longer before we hear from five-star big man Isaiah Jackson about his college future.
Over the weekend, the high-flying big man who is among the country's top shot blockers completed his third and final official visit to Alabama. Previously, he saw Kentucky and Syracuse.
I know that there has been a lot of buzz for the Crimson Tide on this one and Jackson could be a huge score for first-year head coach Nate Oats. Previously, I had been favoring Kentucky for Jackson but I've never felt strong enough about any school's standing with him to predict it as his ultimate destination.
I'm still not quite ready to log a pick, but I am starting to lean toward Alabama here. With many of the available five-stars looking as if they could pass on the Early Signing Period, Jackson's decision is going receive a lot of attention over the next few weeks.
