I will start this one.
Just like Cooley to Georgetown was good for the league.
I GUARANTEE Mick Cronin has one foot out of the door at UCLA and will take the overpay offer he is going to get from Louisville.
Louisville is a train wreck. Their Coach Dead man walking and Cronin will get out of UCLA because they are going to the B1G and he will find a nice landing spot at Louisville.
That is my college basketball prediction of the day.
Today has a strong nonconference schedule for a mid week in December.
Baylor-Duke Oklahoma-North Carolina Arizona-Alabama.
Give me Bears, Heels, Cats.

Louisville should never be this bad. It’s hard to believe what’s been happening there. They’re usually good for some off court drama and embarrassments, but they usually play good ball too.
Cronin would seem to be what they should go for with their next hire - an experienced and proven good head coach who would seem to be a lock to at least have solid teams there.

I just realized after reading your post that UCLA is having a rough year so far. That just seems like a horrible, thankless job. Like Nebraska in football.

Yeah, UCLA seems like a rough gig, but all the face time with Walton may make it more palatable. Cooley was a great hire - I wish the NCAA would push reset and just go back to the old leage alignments for hoops.

Pauley Pavilion is a dump.

Pauley Pavilion is a dump. That doesn't seem possible. That's where UCLA plays and they are part of the conference of champions!

Pauley Pavilion is a dump. You play in a shit arena, you’re constantly compared to a dead guy, and if you do well you’re still second string to the Lakers no matter how mediocre they are. Where do I sign

Cooley was a great hire - I wish the NCAA would push reset and just go back to the old leage alignments for hoops. I couldn’t imagine going somewhere like that, if I was a star recruit. Even if you’re great, nobody cares. You’re behind the Lakers, Dodgers, USC football, and maybe some of those other pro teams that play out there too, and that’s just on the sports scene. as my post on the football board said, everybody should want to go to a school like Cuse. Not a huge city where nobody cares about you, not some cow field dump in the middle of nowhere. A nice smaller-midsize city with enough things to do, and where you’re the biggest star in town if you’re good! It’s the way to go.

He who should not be named is tearing up UConn tonight.
Seton Hall who is mediocre is trashing UConn. Duke getting a must win against Baylor.
Richmond has 23 for the Hall.

I don’t know what to make of Virginia. I was starting to think they were a good team who just had a bad game when Wisconsin blew them out.
But now Memphis blew them out too?

Yeah, I thought they were pretty lousy. But they've been rattling off victories - looking pretty solid against Florida State as well. Being disciplined pays dividends. They've shown that over and over. Good on them I guess.....

How in the world is Rutgers getting superstar recruits? They got money now or something? Their best season under this coach was going 16-12 and losing in round 2 of the tourney. They were 19-15 last year. They’re 13-10 this year.
They have like no results to hang their hat on, and are completely irrelevant nationally. How are they pulling Harper and Bailey?
On the one hand, I’m glad it’s not UK or Duke getting these guys. On the other hand, I’m jealous.

Rutgers has a decent coach in Pickell. They aren’t going to be really bad as they have a lot of talent in their state and it just takes have your shit together which they finally got done.

Even if the brother had a great experience there, I can’t imagine that being enough to get a top recruit like that though, unless money is right?
