The Lakers are so bad, I’m actually pleased with their last two wins, both over teams higher up in the standings.

This team won the midsession tournament. I thought they were good?

Dame is my favorite non-SU player since Nick Van Exel.
I loved Nick at Cincy and when my Lakers took him I was beyond stoked - Lakers had a deal to trade for my guy Sherm in 91(after Magic retired) but it fell through, which crushed me….drafting Nick woke me back up. I was already a huge Van Exel fan before the Lakers took him, so those years - not sure I’ve ever rooted harder for or enjoyed being a fan of a player more. Carmelo was close, but Nick played for my favorite team and I was younger and cared more.
Dame has never played for any of my favorite teams, but I find him just as likable as Nick(and Melo). If I was a young teenager like I was when Nick was a Laker, Dame would be an all time favorite athlete for me.
If the Lakers don’t win it, I hope the Bucks do….and the Bucks are boring as shit beyond Dame. It’s rare that I rock with an athlete like this, as an adult.

Bucks fire Adrian Griffin. If they hire Doc Rivers LOL. That guy must have photos on somebody. Also screw ESPN firing Van Gundy and Jackson and putting Doc in that chair.

Might be the most ridiculous firing in the history of western civilization. As for Doc, sounds like the Bucks really want a second round exit.

Is this one of the few recent seasons that the East is better than the West?
I think the East is better this year Orlando is a solid 8. Boston/Milwaukee/Philadelphia are good top 3.
New York/Indiana/Cleveland/Miami are good 4-7.
The West has good teams but I think the East is better this year. West looks like it will come down to the Nuggets vs. Clippers. Lakers and Suns loom as the danger teams. OKC and Minnesota are having great years but they won’t scare me in the playoffs like Memphis recently they may win a round but don’t see them winning the conference.

Timberwolves always suck. They're finally doing well and the NBA is out to get 'em?
The number of blown calls to give Charlotte the win the other night was STAGGERING. It shouldn't have been close, but what was the official count? 10 blown calls in the last 2 minutes?

I know it likely isn't true, but outside of maybe a year when one team, like a Celtics, Heat, or Cavs are really good - seems like the West (overall) has been a trillion times better than the East for about 20 years. It's felt like the 10th team in the West was about always 3rd best in the East. lol

Just got a thought to go see the Lakers play the Knicks at MSG….cheapest tickets on stubhub are 400+. No thanks. $400? For real? I don't know why, but that shocks me. I’m guessing it’s a perfect storm of: - one of LeBron’s last games in NY. - Lakers - big name opponent that comes once a year and has its own fans everywhere who will overpay for tickets. - Knicks playing really well for the first time in a long time. - Saturday night game. I’d honestly pay $200 or so. But $400? I think I paid $250 for Nas tickets that were good seats at the Garden last year - and I’ve posted about this before but for a concert like that you know he’s going to do all the songs you love and put on a hell of a show. A game? Who knows? You could $400 and see an all time great game, or you could see a blowout that’s over by half time and multiple stars sit out. Who knows? I need to know it’s going to be great if I’m paying $400 for the “worst” seats.
