Was thinking of going this year, but….why? We can’t beat anyone good.
The next time we’re actually a threat again, I will go to the ACC tourney regardless of where it is. But not until then.

I do miss the BET. Every time I run across the ESPN Big East 30 for 30................it killllllz me. That was the best. Major regret of mine that I never went to a BET. Like….why? Why did I never make that happen? I had a good friend and huge SU fan living in NYC at the time - how did we never make that run? My dad had a work event in the morning at MSG in 2013, the day of the GTown game. He pretended he needed to plug in his laptop and do work, and hung out in the bowels of the Garden pretending to work the entire day, and was walking around courtside before the game as he had on a MSG lanyard or badge or something from his morning event. He was standing next to Billy Owens during the national anthem. He didn’t have a seat but he kept moving around and watched the whole game. An all time great caper. He was texting me updates the whole time, it was hilarious and amazing.

That's wild - and a great story. The moving around is what keeps you in the game! Smart man. I wish I went more often. Such an amazing event. I see it now and I still feel more excitement for it, even though I don't even care about the teams, than I do for the ACC Tourney. Which is kinda insane.

It was my freshman year and a group of us decided to go on our way home for spring break. We lost to Providence in OT, thanks to Moten getting hit with a five second call with the game on the line. If you don’t remember that game, you most certainly remember a week later, when he called a time out we didn’t have against Arkansas. Rough end to his career. I was so disgusted, I had no interest in going back. I did go to the Final Four the following year, though.

I do remember. Well, it doesn't ring out like the Arkansas game, but I did remember he had that right before.

I do remember. Well, it doesn't ring out like the Arkansas game, but I did remember he had that right before. That was such a weird season. Started out 14-1 and were ranked #6 in the country. Then they just seemed to flat out forget how to win close games the second half of the season. Lost so many heartbreakers. Random comparison, I always thought of the 95 team being super talented and fun to watch but not a real contender followed by the 96 team going to the finals after losing 3 starters including the star player as being similar to the 2009 team losing Flynn, Devendorf, and Harris, and then the 2010 team being the one that was actually one of the best teams in the country. Seemingly got worse on paper, but ended up being way better.

Also I will always remember my Uncle writing a letter (what a different world) to us in spring of ‘95, while we were living in NC. Wallace was planning on going pro and he was freaking out over how much the team would stink. I still recall some of his critiques: Sims(he can’t shoot), Janulis (he’s too slow), Burgan (he is untested), and Hill (he needs 10 fouls), because I remember thinking it was hilarious.

I just wanted to try out the angry emoji! Anyway, Otis Hill always gets a like. Man did I love that dude as a kid. That team was the perfect example of why JBs system could always work. Take some tweeners that didn't quite fit a position perfectly, stack them up, and dominate!

I loved that dude - I remember playing PS (I think it was probably PS1, but maybe even before the PS) with NCAA and always talking shit playing with friends (that weren't SU fans) like he was the best player in college hoops
