I don’t understand why UConn gets to play on their home court. Shouldn’t be allowed. Top 16 get homecourt advantage first and second round. Until womens basketball can get fans to travel to neutral court first and second round games they won’t change. It’s growing but the NCAA doesn’t want completely empty arenas. I figured that was the reason. but man….youre making it harder to grow the game, if all the powers get the best shot to advance. people who don’t watch college b-ball all year long watch the men’s tourney, with the unpredictably and possible upsets being one of the biggest reasons - probably the biggest reason.

I hear WAY more about Caitlin Clark locally than I do Dyaisha Fair and Syracuse. Top 5 all time NCAA leading scorer starring for the Orange, and how many people even know?
Most people really are pretty basic.

Also we didn’t have a transcendent player of our own (I don’t think anyway.) Local sports media sucks.

And yeah we didn’t have a star like that, but we played against her in the freakin NCAA championship game!

I wish she was more aggressive and took more shots and she got into the lane pretty easy. Fair doesn’t get the love for where she is on the alltime list. She can pass the 4th place lady next game.

These all time lists are all fucked thanks to covid Even though I bet Jim wanted Buddy to return for his free 5th year I bet Buddy didn’t return because he didn’t want to break the SU scoring record and open that can of worms. It’s funny that Buddy had more maturity than his dad. It would have been brutal if Buddy was first alltime in scoring playing an extra year. Fair split her time between Buffalo and Syracuse so the extra year doesn’t really affect those schools alltime lists just the NCAA list.
