Yes I'd agree that he's got more potential than Chewy has now. He's a bit slow in the limited tape I've watched, but he's got a lot more game than Chewy. He will need to bulk up and get stronger, something a lot of our big men seem to struggle to do. He seems like a good guy, and willing to work hard. I really hope it translates to success for us.

The way this guy has developed in the last year has really surprised me and only see him getting better. Could be a diamond the rough in the long, great job by the staff (think this was Griff's)

I hope this one is different. But i cant tell you how many times I have seen video of a syraucuse big showing off their offensive game vs air, and finally thinking we will have a low post presence.

I'm with ya. I'm definitely not sold on Ajak. He has undeniable skill, but he carries red flags. First is his Achilles injury history, which I hope doesn't translate to Sidibe 2.0. My second concern is he's not very strong, and more of a finesse player. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we need a traditional big, as things have trended away from that. But, if we're taking a flyer on a finesse stretch 5 big, he needs to be strong, or we need beef somewhere else in the lineup. We're just too damn soft, and Jesse (despite his skills) also lacks muscle. We're going to get murdered on the inside. Both nice players, but they don't compliment each other very well.

I think JBA is going to be a decent player at SU, going to take sometime but he'll be a good one. Kid already has something none of our centers have had the last few years and that's an offensive game.

Kid already has something none of our centers have had the last few years and that's an offensive game. If JBA stays healthy AND gets stronger (big IFS) he can be better than most of our recent bigs down the road. BUT he's still thin, and there is no other beef on the interior to make up for it. If we had an actual strength and conditioning program I'd be more optimistic. With our lack of muscle, we're in for a rude awakening next season. Pairing him with another beanpole like Jesse is just plain stupid.

First part of this video has JBA working on putting some shots up. I'm impressed with him and think he can really help us stretch the floor. Opposing teams will have to guard him because hes a capable shooter unlike chewy who teams literally didnt have to guard. http://instagram.com/p/BxyWD67luNK

We need him to get stronger and stay healthy. Time will tell. There is a reason other big name programs backed off. I hope we got a steal. The potential is there.
