So let's get the party started.
2018-2019...
First off big question is Tyus. I think it's fair to expect we go into the season without him and his 19 ppg. What we should do however is be able to retain form defensively while hopefully getting better offensively by experience and hopefully one more addition minimum say like a Braswell or a late spring overseas find.
Offensively we should get better production/efficiency from Oshae and Marek. I'm thinking 14/10 Oshae and 10/6 Marek. I also think both will be more efficient getting there. Oshae 47/35/80 Marek 48/33/80 roughly shooting wise.
In the middle, if Bourama stays healthy we can get a solid 8 ppg /8 rpg from him with lollipops on the production chart of bigger games. With PC I'm thinking 7/6. Primarily not bumping him due to the likelihood of fewer minutes as Sidibe provides more of a two way threat.
At the guard spots we of course have both a new addition and some unknowns due to Howard Washington's injury. We also don't have a good read on the chemistry yet between Jalen and Frank. Given how aggressive Jalen is offensively, I have to hope that Frank can be the guy to work off of him and be the Senior vs getting bogged down. I think this is where having Hughes will be so important not just as depth but as a guy who knows the system and has practiced with Frank.
Numbers wise I'm going with Carey at 7/3/3, Frank 10/4/6 and Hughes 8/5/3.
Finally we have Buddy. My guess is with that sweet stroke he definitely plays. I expect he is similar to a young Rautins at 3-4 points a game but does play when it matters. He is the biggest question mark for me and some of his figures could be impacted by how things shake out at forward in terms of Hughes minutes.
Add in the walk on stats and I think we are around 70-72 pts a game offensively and similar defensively. Overall I think that makes us better than this year. If Tyus comes back it again amps things up. Also, if Howard Washington does get healthy in time, it could give us a little boost, more in consistency department by having more flexibility if Carey hits the wall or Frank has a major slump. I left his numbers out purposely for that reason but should he play I think his numbers are still pretty pedestrian this season.
