Sounds like the powers that be in the SU program are trying to stop the bleeding, and putting out an article like this will pacify most casual fans that truly don’t understand the game, and how recruiting works. I want to believe it, but logically I know recruiting cannot get any better with JB the head coach. Even if SU rebounds this season and makes the tournament, it doesn’t change the fact that we’re not recruiting well, and it will continue to get harder. It doesn’t reverse JB’s age. It serves to postpone the inevitable.

Donna’s great but she doesn’t realize that Oklahoma St is going to be a middle of the pack Big 12 team. Same with Penn St. Both will be like 8/9 seeds at best. Virginia is nowhere near their level of team as in recent years. Georgia Tech sucks. Those KenPom numbers are going to go down. Iowa will be a bubble team since their defense sucks. We’ll see what happens against Georgetown.

They just seem like if they would face a team with any kind of real quickness then they would get run out of the gym. They probably are one of the most rugged and physical teams in the country. Counts for something I’m sure.

UConn has a nice roster. Lots of good looking athletes and another kid who chose UConn over us. Akok Akok. He looks good. They are handling Indiana early.

Who knows if he’s running a dirty program. I personally doubt it. He’s too respected like it or not and has a great basketball family. He’s a little spazzy/intense for some but some kids wants that. Akok Akok talked about the intensity of the practices and culture when he committed. When watching him play last night he’s a passionate and high motor player. Maybe he just wanted a more intense vibe. I mean it’s not rocket science that a UConn practice is going to be more intense. They are going to be going at it hard while JB is more hands off and we’re going to be working on Zone slides, lol. Now they will be back in the Big East next season which is going to be a better conference than the ACC this season. Highly appealing to some of those east coast players and their families. Another player I wanted was Sidney Wilson. 4* guy who committed to St. John’s but transferred to UConn. He’s a nice looking SF. In the same class as Oshae. He’s a 6’7 wing but way more upside and ability than Braswell. We were involved with him. We could’ve taken him with Brissett since they are different players. Don’t need Dolezaj then and the following year there would be no need for Braswell. Braswell’s scholly could’ve been used for someone who could truly contribute. Maybe a big or PG ready from Day 1.
