7'3 250lbs. YES PLEASE! Hope we at least give it a shot. Also he has a relationship with jesse Edwards and have worked out together many times. Not sure that helps any considering they play the same position but worth noting.

If we can somehow land Matt Haarms the ceiling next season is Final Four

I’ve seen him play and he’s good. He’d be great for us as the only team in the ACC who is truly physical is FSU. Louisville rolls that way sometime too. As usual those Purdue bigs are always skilled. Makes a move and dunks it. He’s way stronger than any of our guys. This would be better than Tape, IMO.

Matt Haarms will be a top 3 big man nationally next season and if we can find a way to close him and get Griff on the floor next season we’re ACC contenders and could get past the second weekend in March

Gotta think he’s going to be a pretty hot commodity. Would love to land him.

He might be worried about playing time and getting the ball. We shoot so many jumpshots and 3s that it’s maddening. Hopefully the coaches would use him. I think he’s nimble enough for PNR and he’d set better screens than any of them. Sure hope we get a chance to see. Love those Purdue big guys.

I really cant stress how big of a gamechanger this would be. Extremely doubt it happens, but we should be running the full press on this guy.
I said this on the other board (i know jazz i know please forgive me)

Hopefully he’s down with All-Zone 😳. He’s had some nice games for sure. Not sure why his minutes went down late in the season. But, against FSU in the Big10/ACC Challenge he had 16/8. Against Daniel Otaru on Minnesota who is a probable 1st round pick he had 26/9. 18/6 against Nova the year before in the Tourney. He’s better than all our bigs combined, frankly.

I think I read he suffered some injuries last year. Concussion that sidelined him a bit and then a minor hip injury or something like that. Kinda had a down year because of their style of play too...the article mentioned he played better with Edward's and their other guard they had spacing the floor and running a faster paced more open offense. He got banged around a bit last year having to go up.against some big guys. He would actually be better suited playing defense in our zone. How we use him offensively would be the major question.

Yeah, agreed re: offense. That makes sense what you read. Man, two years ago they were a REALLY good team. Had UVA all but beaten. One more offseason hitting the weights (if he is even able to) and he would be a beast. I couldn’t believe how nimble and skilled he was at his size the couple of games I saw of his. He’s thin but not all skinny and fraile like Edwards. I probably shouldn’t be getting my hopes up too much with this recruitment. Probably a longshot.

Kentucky is extra hilarious considering Isaiah Jackson Very slim odds against those schools. The biggest chip we can offer is that he’d start for us. The same cannot be said any of those other schools. Really depends on what the guy is looking for.

Would JB actually pull Sidibe from the starting lineup for him or a Tape? Most coaches have an ‘all positions are open’ type of mindset but JB usually starts the veterans and of course the Zone.
