I love Conductor Williams but this beat doesn’t really do it for me.
That said, Stove God has numerous lines that I love like always and the title is amazing. “Melo Chip and a Brick”. I would’ve become a Weitsman fan if he brought this guy into the front row of the Dome.

It sounds good. but I think some loops are just TOO classic to be touched. CREAM is one of them. lol.

The hard drums on this….yes. More beats that sound like this please. It’s a style that will never get old to me.

lol. That really underscores how ridiculous “mainstream” hip hop has been for 20+ years. 90’s all day!

Dr. Dre’s old ass was doing it on the Compton album. Terrible.

His name is Sonny Miles, he’s out of the Raleigh, NC area. He’s got a few low budget videos but he’s pretty new and not well known. Super talented IMO. He just put out an album a couple weeks ago. I think it’s his first full length album. He did some singles and EPs before. Im still a “albums” listener and the singles/EPs are like the teasers to me. I’ll never get with the streaming playlist singles only model. Give me an ALBUM!!

This song just randomly popped in my head and I headed to YouTube to see if it was even a real memory.
Why do I know this? Where did I hear it? Was it a Napster download that I grabbed just because it was Nate, and listenened to it 25 years ago? Probably. But regardless, it’s great.

I used to love those crazy remix mashups that would randomly show up in my playlist thinking I downloaded the album version. Some of those downloads also had the bass tuned up, sounded great on my Sony Xplodes in the 99 Maxima.
