Understatement of the year, but we need this kid to sign.

I’m not as high on this kid as some are. Doesn’t seem overly quick but more of a long strided/rangy guy. He’ll have to get a LOT stronger if he’s going to be finishing plays at the rim in ACC play. Seems like a tweener between SG-SF.

I'm down with us pursuing this guy. He has a nice upside, but I really want a point guard and a beefy big man that has some offensive skill set. Those are such higher priorities, IMO.

UCONN is now a joke, in a conference that is even worse. If they had stayed in the Big East with GT and V and Marquette they would be more appealing. The school does not play a strong schedule like Gonzaga (joke conference as well) or some of the other mid major guys. Yes, they have become that, regardless of having a football team. Whoever was their AD when the Big East died and the ACC and other conferences picked apart, should have been fired. Plus there is that whole Kevin Ollie thing. And the older Hurley is a prick. Marquette, I would not be surprised if that floor slapping ass is gone within a year to something with more of a name. St. John's is all in on a Duke name, I bet he would be super interested if it was not for being in the same league. In regards to Andre, I still think Getting Joe is going to be a long term key to success. From everything you watch or read (grain of salt), Joe is a leader and guys want to be around him. I still feel Jackson is ours to loose, however I like the chances. They get 5 visits, any of us would use all 5 regardless if we had made our minds up. These are 16 year old kids, they love hearing how great they are and all the things the schools think they can bring (and the cool photos in the jerseys). Just went through it with the OHL draft and some of the kids on my hockey team.

On paper UCONN has a higher ranked recruiting class in 2019 than we do too, so you never know. And Marquette landed local product Symir Torrence, which we may end up regretting. Recruiting is a challenge for Syracuse, and I don't think it's going to get easier. I'd love to land Andre, so we'll see how it plays out. Side note: I'd rather prioritize a beefy power forward/center.

Jazz, I was pissed when Akok did not pick us, but seeing Q play in person at the Biosteel game, he is the real deal. I would take him over Akok any day and I think he did himself a disservice staying at that school, he should have moved to Ontario like Dortz did. I am still am not sold on either of the two schools coaching staffs being there long term. And, as you guys remind everyone, Jimmy is staying until Buddy's kids are incoming freshman.

Side note: I'd rather prioritize a beefy power forward/center. I'm not sure how in the hell their class is ranked higher then ours on paper because I would take EVERY SINGLE one of our recruits over theirs except for Akok and honestly I think Quincy might end up being the jewel out of all of them and is way under ranked due to the Canada stuff. Kid is legit. Also, I think our staff targeted and landed pretty much every guy they wanted with the exception of the 5 spot. We cant recruit that if our life depended on it lol. We definitely wanted JBA no doubt about it but I think he was suppose to be the 2nd big to groom behind a stud that we never landed. Uconn sucks and they will suck next year and the year after. Gaffney and Bouknight are nice players but I wouldnt say they are better then any of our guards regardless of their ranking. Hurley can suck it! Cant stand him. We definitely need some help with recruting bigs. I do really like JBA game though and I hope this Jesse ends up being a huge surprise. Time will tell with them I guess. Anyways I hope we can land Jackson or moncrieffe. Moncrieffe literally has the body that NBA drools over. Kid looks the part!

To Sky and Downhere...
I'm not disrespecting our incoming class. I'm merely pointing out that recruits do and have selected programs such as Marquette and UCONN over us. We have lost many players recently to teams in lesser conferences, without a HOF coach. Too many to count. I do agree that Quincy will be a gem.
That said, it's my opinion that recruiting will get harder as JB ages, not easier. Only time will tell if my viewpoints regarding the state of the program and it's future are accurate. I think JB's best recruiting classes are behind him.
I certainly hope we can land a guy like Andre.
