Am i crazy, or was that kinda quick? Makes you wonder if he had been talking to someone before the season was over. I would put money on he did or someone in his "camp" reached out to Fast Eddie and his staff.

A real slap in the face when Providence is a better option than Syracuse. Just wow, we’ve slid so far.

It’s a better situation for him. They have a bunch of guards but they all play decent minutes. Can’t blame him.

However, this kids have to remember the sun does not always shine tomorrow. Just look at TT and his Seton Hall adventure, now he wants out again. Have we ever really had anyone transfer and then really light it up? Glenn Sekunda at Pedo State was good, Keith Hughes at Rutgers did well, just like BJ at Lasalle (wish he stayed) Roe and Manning took their dresses and left and put up points, same with Bobby Lazor at Arizona State, who else was there? None of the guys I mentioned really went to teams that did much. Just like JR Rider, someone has to put up points on a shit team.

I would put money on he did or someone in his "camp" reached out to Fast Eddie and his staff. He had to and probably his people/parents told him to just go through the season like nothing is happening then when it's over transfer. This way it makes the kid look good and he handled things the right ways. Carey did the same thing too.

Jazz cmon. No one is stating the program in is good shape. But he is not transferring because Providence is a better basketball destination right now or in the future.
Goodine seemed like a good kid and could do some things for sure. One thing that always confused me on him was his supposed athleticism. In his limited time on the floor that certainly never jumped out to me.

In his limited time on the floor that certainly never jumped out to me. Yeah never saw all that supposed great athleticism either. Looked decent but nothing that popped on the screen. I would argue Providence has more juice right now. Their last couple of classes are better than ours and we’ll see if Dior and co. ever show up. This trend will continue the longer JB stays on in terms of fading away into the sunset re: relevance, IMO.

Yeah you are right re: BJ. I just think it is odd and alarming to lose THREE guards transfer out at once. Not sure how many of Wichita St.’s guys were guards. Also, we identified Goodine early. Highest rated player in the class right? Carey? Highest rated player and the dude we handpicked to be the PG. Both gone. Terrible look. You can live with a raw/project like BJ leaving. None of us thought he would be THAT good at LaSalle. But they were on Carey and Goodine for awhile (Carey for sure) and handpicked these guys. Hopkins handpicked Kaleb Joseph too. Just too many of our top guys in a class failing and/or leaving. Major issue.

They have not been out of the second weekend since 96-97. They do not have more juice. Again, I am in no way shape or form saying the program is in good shape. It is not. But the same way people do not like the other board because they say everything is fine, lets not get crazy over here and say Providence is currently a more desirable basketball spot.
