I guess we can agree to disagree. In my opinion 40 minutes of embarrassingly ugly basketball on opening night vs one of the top defensive teams in the country will not cause a recruit to eliminate a school. Just like 40 minutes of embarrassingly ugly basketball as 24 pt favorites in a homes loss to Evansville will not cause a recruit to eliminate a school. Sure if you want to call it a microcosm of the issue in the last 5 years I can get behind that. But again to have such a rash reaction to 40 minutes saying we are officially out on recruits because of one game, I just do not agree with. I don’t think we’d lose a recruit for one ugly loss either. I think what Jazz is saying, is that it is, sadly, a microcosm of our program. That loss fuels negative recruiting. Losses like that sting our program much worse than Kentucky’s loss to Evansville. It definitely doesn’t move the needle in Syracuse’s direction in a close recruitment that’s for sure. Kentucky’s program is fine. Ours is struggling. Games like the UVA game don’t make a very strong case that we’re trending in the right direction or that we play a fun style either. I share this take and opinion as well. We just can’t afford many stinkers and most of the 1H last night was shaping up to be another one. UK typically always improves and will be a force come March. Also, the cumulative effect of PG recruits seeing seemingly constant PG struggles here as well as the big men probably is a real thing I would think. I’ll be interested to see how they play against some better athletes Sat. Who knows if SEA will have the aptitude to go against the Zone. Still taking a wait and see approach especially since Colgate had some really bad defensive numbers coming into the game yesterday.

Really i dont think any of the analysts out there have any idea where he will sign and those guys picking Kentucky are doing it because they’re Kentucky I think you may be right Walsh. Family is pretty tight lipped. I still don’t think he commits to Syracuse though. Sure would love to be wrong.

I think if we’re trying to land a 3 or 4 star kid against another P5 team not named Kentucky, Duke, UNC, Kansas, and other top name schools a loss like we had against Virginia wouldn’t matter. But dang, if we’re trying to hang with Kentucky (like in Isaiah’s recruitment) we can’t be stinking up the joint like that. It looks bad. We already have to deal with negative recruiting because of old man Boeheim. We don’t need to be giving away any more ammunition.

Commitment date?: 11/16/2019. In the hunt: Alabama, Kentucky and Syracuse. The latest: Jackson decides on Saturday and has seen all of his finalists. This one just might be too tight between Alabama and Kentucky to call coming down the stretch Just listened to the uk pod that dropped today with a interview with Jackson's coach. Worth the listen even though it's a bit long. No one knows anything and he said decision is not made. Mentioned family atmosphere being the biggest thing for Isaiah. Kid is quiet and a introvert so that's important. Not sure the media has a handle on this.

It doesn't have the usual feel and honestly at this point it would be hilarious if he picks us because of the way the media has dismissed us based on absolutely nothing. The family stuff is interesting and honestly all the bama talk is a bit odd because there really isnt a whole lot there except oats has tried really hard.

Kentucky usually always leaks when they’re getting a recruit. The fact that it’s not all over the crystal meth ball site tells me that they don’t even know. That’s what gives me the slightest hope to hang on to. I think the staff has done a great job with his recruitment. A commitment from him would have us clearly back on the recruiting map. I hope he shocks everyone and picks us. I’d be so pumped.

Gotta love how the coach has no clue but the analysts know it's definitely not Syracuse. If they're talking about family so much ya gotta think the team with the coach&son combo is going to be up there 6.3.6

Most of these so-call recruiting experts are jokes. They try to get clicks so they can sell memberships to their sites. I laughed when I read that the coach has no idea and the family does not tip their hand, yet this "expert" knows.

This time tomorrow we’ll either be celebrating or sulking. At least we’ll know. I think it’d be more fun to party though! C’mon Isaiah! Orange is a family affair! 🎉🎈
