Black coach gets hired in a sport that like 80% of the good players are black…..DEI!
I hate these people.

Red looked clueless the last 5 minutes of this game against Clemson. Judah blew it again. Fouling JG3, and then not fouling. Bad coaching.

We missed multiple bunny’s and we have more than enough evidence Judah botches end of game situations. If anything I thought he outcoached Brownell. Clemson just has better talent. Especially in the interior.

I see lots of comments about running a “structured offense”, but who does that? I don’t watch nearly as much college hoops as I used to, but seems like everyone that’s good just has good shooters and ball handlers who drive and kick and go off ball screens. Nobody is running the old Princeton offense out there.

Kudos to Red, throws out the zone...and we walk away with the easy W against UNC! Those free throws at the end were starting to panic me though!

16-9 with a win over UNC. And we beat Colgate.
He’s doing alright. I think I predicted 20-11, but that was with Westry in the mix, who I was assuming would be one of our best players.
Big picture, with this roster….what should our record be, if the coach could coach?
Red is doing fine overall, IMO.

Agreed. I think there certainly been times where rotations and who is on the floor together can be questioned. And frankly, that is concerning. But I think those times are the exception and I do think he’s been pretty solid in giving the team the best chance to win with his decisions. And I do believe that just like players can have bad games, coaches can have bad games or make a bad decision in a game….it doesn’t necessarily mean they suck. I don’t really understand the criticisms of the offense overall though….what we do is what a lot of teams do. And when Mintz is your PG - you’ve kinda gotta go with what you’ve got. We’ll see how things evolve as the roster takes shape in the next couple years.

He is 25 games into his first season with our toughest OOC schedule in a decade, a broken roster from the previous HC laziness and he cant coach? I am not saying he is the next all time great or even going to be good, but that is just not even fair to proclaim that already.
Danny Hurley went 16-17 in his first year at UCONN in the AAC, not the ACC. Could he not coach as well?

Correct me if I’m wrong but we are locked a winning schedule now right? Or at least .500? That’s an improvement from the last 2 years imo. We are trending up on the whole

We are trending up on the whole Were a lock for .500 with six ref season games plus one ACCT game. We might actually get to 20 wins. I think even before the season when we were expecting Westry back before he had a setback, all of us would’ve been satisfied with 20 wins this year. Given what happened with Westry, McCleod, and Benny….i think you’d have to be absolutely thrilled with 20 wins, if we get it.

A large portion of our fans wanted Pitino or Cooley. Red has us with a better record than both and a better win than either of them have.
People are dumb.
People who claim DEI eat their boogers for breakfast.

People who claim DEI eat their boogers for breakfast. I initially, and in many ways, didn't want to hire within. I get the whole fresh start argument and I basically agree with it. THAT SAID...once he was hired, I felt we, as fans, needed to give Red a chance. The same chance we would have given a guy from outside. I don't think everyone has given him that chance, fair or not, valid excuses or not. I think the stink of latter day JB is attached to his hip for some people AND I GET IT...just kind of sucks. I'm excited to see what he can do with the team next year and I think any of the JB excuses should be out the door in Year 2. It's his team, his players, his program this point forward
