Isaiah Stewart has had one of the more intriguing recruitments in the entire class. He’s taken official visits to Washington (Sept. 21), Kentucky (Sept. 28), Syracuse (Oct. 12) and Michigan State (Oct. 19). Stewart was expected to visit Duke two weeks ago, but the visit was postponed. Stewart told 247Sports on Monday that he still has to take a visit to Duke before making his college choice. In terms of when that decision may come, Stewart said, "Would love to get my decision over with before the season really starts up."
Schools: Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State, Syracuse, Washington

Puke, a Duke uniform! I wish we had a chance here. We need a good big guy so badly. Stewart would have a Melo-like effect on our program.

- I hope this happens at least Hop would get a nice prize instead of the other two teams, especially Dook.
In this week’s Twitter Tuesday mailbag, we take a deep look at the final weeks of Vernon Carey and Isaiah Stewart’s recruitments, Anthony Edwards’ suitors and where Pitt strikes in the frontcourt.

All eyes are on Vernon Carey and Isaiah Stewart as both prospects are focused on a select group of finalists and are just weeks away from ending their recruitments.
Carey, the top-ranked prospect in the 2019 class, took the final step toward a commitment last week by cutting his list to Duke, Michigan State and North Carolina. This has always been a race between the latter two, so it is not surprising to see the Blue Devils and Spartans make it. The Tar Heels' inclusion raised eyebrows, and it would be a shock to see Carey commit to Roy Williams' program. I am on the fence with where he will ultimately land, but let’s go with Duke for Carey.
On the other hand, Stewart just completed his official visits over the weekend. After getting a look at what Duke can offer, this recruitment is eerily similar to that of Carey’s. Duke, Michigan State and Washington are the only three programs that I can realistically see Stewart choosing. Could Michigan State be left without a dancing partner? It could be the case. I think Washington pulls off the stunner and Mike Hopkins’ relationship wins out with the five-star

Once again as been said in the past time to put this to bed, he's not coming here.
Who’s in it: Duke, Michigan State & Washington
When he commits: December
Prediction: Washington
Just like Carey Jr., the only thing Stewart has left is making a commitment. Stewart completed his official visit tour over the weekend as he visited Duke. He has now been to Durham, Kentucky, Michigan State, Syracuse and Washington. He originally included Indiana and Villanova in his final school list, but he told Rivals.com earlier this month that neither are still in contention.
This looks like a battle between Duke, Michigan State and Washington. The Blue Devils have made up major ground in recent weeks, to the point that they could be the favorite. However, Tom Izzo’s bunch remains right there, as does Washington. I believe it's Washington where he shockingly ends up, and he decides to do so before the calendar year flips.

It is insulting to not see Syracuse on the list. I get the other 3 but if you read his USA today blog he loved the family atmosphere and what they said to him. Playing with Joe means something, he has always said that.
Corey Evans is a *s.

Playing with Joe means something, he has always said that. Corey Evans is a **s. Welcome to the board. It's certainly disappointing to not see Syracuse listed as a favorite to land Stewart. I get it. But all indications from people with the inside track are we're out. I wish it was different. It's an embarrassment that our centers are contributing nothing this year, and we can't land an elite big with the job up for grabs next year. JBA better be the best 400+ ranked player ever from day one. Stewart would be a hometown here if only we could close.

If you listen to Dean's pod you would understand our chances would have been A LOT better if Hop was here.
