Yes but that was all JB's doing and he deserves all the blame for that. He got his versions of a retirement tour but it was just a year long Boeheim celebration.
I just have a tough time saying one bad thing about Buddy. Good kid, hard worker, got better ever year, and went off to get us to the S16 last year. I am sure if his dad brought in another player to be the focal point of the offense and take some of his volume away he would of been all for it.
JB appears to not being going anywhere, so lets hope the nepotism leaves with Buddy and Jimmys graduation (again not their fault) and we can get back to a well rounded roster with athletes that we are accustomed to.

The real question is, how good would we have been if Kadary was point guard, or Symir, and Buddy played the 2 with Joe as his backup? I think that Joe really hurt the program in that JB sacrificed the 1 and 2 positions for him. This is all on the coach. He really put a lot of faith in Joe to the extent that he would sacrifice a great talent like Kadary and thrust Joe into the 1 spot where he didn't belong. Yesterday against Duke was solid proof how the season was destroyed by the coach based on everything I just said.
Symir against Duke: 11 assists, ELEVEN! 2 turnovers. Enough said.

I feel like my problem with this is sort of what SoBe hinted at - 99.9% of college players go their whole career without punching someone in the chest. Somehow it gets spun into a feel good story with lots of "good kid" comments for Buddy. It seems unfair to all the good kids that don't punch people, but get labeled punks.....

I agree… Buddy gave 1000%. He even apologized with grace, which is more than I can say for his Daddy.

Yeah Buddy was contrite. Cool. He had to interrupt JB and be a grown up about it or else JB would’ve kept ranting and lamenting how his son did nothing wrong. Ended up being like a 25 min presser celebrating the season. What a joke lol.

But, I just don’t think there is anything to play for since Benny and Jesse are injured. I think the season needs to mercifully end.
