Wish he was stronger but he takes it hard to the rack and dunks everything. He’s got some talent, great mobility, and could probably man the zone very well , especially covering those corner 3s. I would take him.

I would take him. I finally got around to checking him about. He’s got a lot of skills and the frame to add some good ripped muscle. He’s more advanced than any of our bigs right now, IMO. Pretty good athlete too but the skills for sure are there. Sleeper. Flip is out so this kid would be a nice get at the 5.

I think this guy is Orange. I’m actually pretty excited about landing him because he has a really high motor, legit size/athleticism. Because he’s a bit under the radar, he seems totally ok with being a defensive center first, that can rebound, block shots, and cover the corner 3 without being an offensive focal point. If he can get stronger, he truly might be ideal. He seems smart, hard working and amenable to our system. Despite the rankings I don’t think (for what we need in our system) he’s much of a drop off from Flip. Fingers crossed.

I can’t remember. I agree…fits our system well and has a lot of tools to work with. Really skilled. It’s not the greatest class striking out on the majority of their elite targets but he’s a nice piece who could contribute for sure. I’m assuming Starling is going to Duke or ND. Copeland will take a little time and same with Taylor. IMG will be good for them. Would be nice to have a real impact frosh in that class.

I’ve not watched Carey play against top talent, but I did read an article that stated he dominated the one top 60 guy he matched up against… though I don’t think the article mentioned who it was. I agree, losing Lands hurt, but I never really expected that “commitment” to stick. Copeland, Taylor, and Carey is a nice class, but not the elite class it was touted it would be. Maybe we still get Bunch, or JJ but I’m not banking on it.

Without a doubt a class of Copeland, Taylor, Carey, and Bunch is a nice group although not the elite level we hoped for. It misses that one big top end talent. With that said it still significantly increases the talent base and should be a group of kids that are around for 2-4 years. If we can land JJ to cap it off it or swap him for Bunch it would be huge. Of course the transfer market can be tapped into as well.

Nice pieces if you have some elite talent. Still screams bubble caliber to me along with this coming season. Starling would be huge and so would a Barlow type. Yeah, I was also concerned about Lands committing so early and us barely recruiting him ever. We’ll see.

I really thought that we’d see a quick commitment after his visit. Kind of surprised its so quiet.

That said, I think we’ll land Maliq Brown which will give us a high motor banger. I’m happy with this class for a change. Don’t tell the “other board.” LOL 😂

I am in no way insider. Just an avid (and I like to think Knowledgeable fan). Curious where you think JJ is going. Again I have zero idea but it seems to be very close to the chest and trending in a decent way for us.
