UCLA was an 11 seed when they made the Final Four and followed that up with a 4 seed two years ago and 2 seed last year.
I wish after we made the final four in 2016 or the sweet sixteen in 2018 we could have actually followed that up with a good regular season where we actually were ranked and relevant. Not relying on postseason runs to mask our downfall as a relevant national program.
Again we are going to be on our 5th straight season this year we haven’t been ranked one week. This season it’s fine but we haven’t even qualified for the NIT the last 2 years.

A lot of people thought we’d contend for another championship. Michigan is also 6-8.

Djcon would do well over here…
“Some one posted on here the other day that Clemson's defense was better than ours. Despite LITERAL NUMBERS suggesting otherwise. I was going to comment back but what's the point...people are in their feelings... The fact that this nonstop discussion about an ok SG is still going is hilarious. The loss of Jesse is about 1000x bigger impact on this year's team than Joe yet he doesnt get mentioned very often because...reasons, I guess?”

Oh, my….
rrlbees said: They only play a little. But joes metrics in m2m are better than last year. And better than JJ’s. Joes overall BPM is better than anyone on SU except Brown who he’s tied with. And I say that as someone who still thinks DBPM is garbage.
DJCon said:Honest question…do you know what metrics are? Because you say stuff like “his metrics are better than JJ” yet there are multiple metrics than have JJ ahead of Joe other than DBPM.
You are pointing to one “metric”. DBPM. Joe’s steal percentage is 1.1, JJ’s is 1.5 Joe’s Defensive Win Shares is 0.5, JJ’s is 0.7 JJ’s DBPR is higher than Joe’s.
hope that helps

If you continue to embarrass Bees he will get banned. He owns him with logic and just fighting back against the gaslighting. Joe’s defense can be covered up if he is only playing 28-32 mpg by throwing him on the weaker offensive guard and just have him offense which is his main job. Joe as a SG was good last year also he lost 15 pounds from last year at Clemson that helps. Girard is playing minutes per game, taking less shots per game and his efficiency numbers are going skyward up. It’s hilarious how everyone but the man in charge of the program kept saying this. Play these guys less minutes and having more Quality players actually helps players be better. But no our players don’t get tired. It’s not that we played a short rotation if the players were Dion Waiters or NBA quality but these guys weren’t that great and being asked to be elite while playing marathon minutes. I give Buddy credit for this he didn’t comeback for a 5th year when I am sure his dad probably would have wanted it. He unlike his dad knew the frustration in the fanbase but it’s not his job for him not to play all those minutes when daddy gave them to him. It should have been his dad’s job to bring better players in but instead he didn’t and program cratered. It’s sucks what happened to the program and put Red into a situation were 10-4 not on bubble is acceptable.

ALL THESE ACRONYMS LOOK THE SAME TO ME Lmao. The funniest/saddest thing is: JB ruined Joe for Red so he pretty much had to go no matter what…..but beyond that, he shouldn’t even be here regardless if it wasn’t for some fluke disease. These old guys should be long gone, but are still playing college hoops! They’re kinda “good” because they’re older than everybody. Jesse and Joe would’ve been long gone regardless under “real” times. To me it kinda doesn’t “count” if you’re in your fifth full season of college basketball.

I think I’ve watched enough to come to this conclusion - JJ and Judah aren’t a great fit together. They’re too similar and Judah is the team’s returning star player while JJ is the new guy.
I think JJ will play a lot better next year.
JJ is better than sophomore Joe, and I think senior JJ will be better than Senior Joe was last year.
If JJ ends up going to college for 7 years like Tommy Boy, i imagine he’ll be better than Joe in his super senior year too.
But yeah, we could certainly use a 23 year old Joe in the mix this year. “In the mix”. Guess he didn’t want that though. Thanks Captain Chipwich, for poisoning that well.

In all honesty, my interest in sports in general isn’t what it used to be. I’ve experienced far too much loss in the last 4 years to ever prioritize it. I lost an entire year’s income due to Covid. I’ve also lost a few friends myself, including one to suicide.
I’ll always be a fan, but in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t seem right that ANYONE makes millions of dollars playing a game when there are homeless people, hungry people, and people scraping by. Let this sink in… the guy on the field who saved Bills player Hamlin was probably the least paid on the field that night. That’s just wrong.
Anyhow, ‘Cuse sports will always have a special place in my heart. It’s given me some wonderful memories, and that National Championship will always make me smile. That said, I’ve always been a bit of a different guy. I’m authentic, and I always say what I think even if it gets me “banned.”
I truly hope we have a nice year and make the tournament, but I’ve changed a lot from these last few years. I’d much rather fans start caring as passionately about things that actually matter. Y’all don’t know this but I’m also part Native American. It’s always been our prophecy that White man’s greed, and disconnection from Nature (with fake foods, fake drinks, synthetic drugs, etc) would be their downfall. 2024 is going to be a year for the record books. You think the Covid years were rough… 2024 is going to really wake folks up. Book it.

His handle is good and he seems to have no problem going by people and getting in the paint. i think he’ll finish better as he gets older. he needs to become a better defender for sure but he’s got the frame and athleticism to be solid there. I don’t really understand why he’s not - hopefully will improve as an upperclassman. i don’t know what to make of the outside shot and what happened there.

You think the Covid years were rough… 2024 is going to really wake folks up. Book it. People SHOULD be woken up, but unfortunately many won’t be. There’s too much money, and it’s way too easy for those invested to lie to and brainwash so many of these people. For example, many have already been shamelessly switching their stance from “global warming won’t happen” to “global warming isn’t happening, it’s made up” to “global warming is happening but it’s not caused by human activity”. They’ll buy whatever these greedy entities want them to buy, as long as it’s packaged in a way that appeals to them.
