Nice write up on kadary. "Five-Star Candidates: Who Can Make A Real Push For The Final Star? While the AAU is the most public platform for recruits to show their talents, the 2020 rankings are far from set in stone. Year after year, we’ve seen fringe five-star players have very productive high school campaigns that result in a fifth star to their name, and sometimes invitations to an event on the all-star circuit. Based on their play over the summer combined with a projection of their high school season, I’m going to give you three names that I think will make a strong push for the top tier once it’s all said and done. Kadary Richmond The biggest sleeper of the three, is recent Syracuse commit Kadary Richmond. After a summer where he picked up serious momentum, the Brooklyn native is garnering early rave reviews at Brewster Academy. The 6’5” lanky combo guard is the epitome of versatile. On offense, his slick combos and complex understanding of the game allow him to do unique things on the basketball court. Richmond is lethal when getting downhill, and his spin move is very effective. I was most impressed by some of the live dribble passes he made, while he isn’t built like a one, I think it’s fair to assume he’ll initiate a lot of offense for Brewster this year. He jumped over 200 spots in the 247 composite rankings this summer, and I think it’s safe to say he’s just getting started." stockrisers.com/2019/10/30/rosen-five-star-candidates-who-can-make-a-real-push-for-the-final-star/This is why I wish kids could sign letters of intent anytime. I get concerned that he could blow up and choose another school if his offers improve. It would help smaller schools that scout better have some leverage, and prevent other schools from poaching a verbally committed player. I hope I’m wrong, but Kadary committed to Syracuse very quickly. Hell, he wanted to commit before seeing the school. That tells me that he’s easily swayed/influenced and could be vulnerable to recruiters before he’s eligible to sign his National Letter of Intent. Don’t want to see us get burned.

[br I get what your saying but u do know we are his dream school right? That why he wanted to commit the second he got the offer from us. I think we are good here and he will hopefully be signed in a few weeks when early signing period starts. He definitely isnt done climbing the rankings and is going to get a lot of attention at Brewster this year.

Syracuse picked up a really nice commitment earlier this week from four-star guard Kadary Richmond. Richmond had initially committed to the Orange a couple weeks ago, then backed off it to make sure it was the right decision. He eventually decided he made the right call, and this is a good fit. The No. 96 overall prospect in the 2020 class has length and athleticism at 6-foot-5, combined with effort and energy to be a real problem in the front of Syracuse’s 2-3 zone. Offensively, he’ll fit right in with the type of attacking guards that have flourished under Jim Boeheim.

Here’s hoping he signs his LOI early. Like his potential a lot.

Honestly this might work out better than AJ I agree with you on this one. Andre is an exceptional athlete, but his game IQ is questionable. Throwing the ball off the backboard to dunk with the game on the line is stupidity, and ego on Andre’s part. Don’t get me wrong... there’s a place for swagger and flair, but that had to be the dumbest play I’ve ever witnessed, regardless of the fact that he made it.

Kadary might fall victim to the system if/when he arrives here. Boeheim needs thoroughbreds and NBA ISO talents to be able to score points. Kadary is a good player but he’s not one of those.
